Another wild week in Genoa City. If you missed a show, get your The Young and the Restless weekly recap right here...
- Sharon left Jack after he "confessed" to being a sex addict. Ashley has her doubts that this is her brother's real problem, but Jack sticks to his story so as not to implicate himself in the Victor's diary saga. Meanwhile, Sharon sought comfort in Brad and told Nick her news as well.
- After Nick saw that the latest issue of Restless Style had a photo shoot done in Paris, he questioned Phyllis as to why she never told him she was there. After much deliberation, Phyllis finally came clean and told Nick that she saw him and Sharon kissing. The couple hashed things out and Phyllis was crushed when she heard that it was Sharon who stopped things from going any further, not Nick. Nick assured Phyl she is his one and only and that he and Sharon had gotten swept up in the past. He promised nothing like that would happen again.
- After yet another spat with Lily, Chloe fell off of a ladder and was rushed to the ER. Her baby was given a clean bill of health, but Chloe suffered a fractured pelvis. While in the hospital, Chloe and Cane bonded and Cane finally set some boundaries where he and Lily were concerned.
- While checking on Chloe in the hospital, Billy asked her straight up whether the baby was his. Once again, Chloe denied it, so Billy did some sleuthing of his own. Chloe's nurse confirmed that she is a few weeks farther along than she is saying. Billy realized the baby is, in fact, his.
- Billy spilled the truth about Chloe's baby's paternity to Jack, who urged Billy not to make any rash decisions. But after seeing Chloe and Cane interact, Billy realized that Chloe was doing the right thing for the baby and that Cane would make a far better father. Billy decided to keep mum about what he knows.
- At River's trial, just as it things looked as bleak as they could, Gloria (after a reaming from Lauren) showed up at the courthouse and testified on River's behalf, telling the court she had been blackmailed to speak out against him at his first trial. Jeffrey looked on, vexed, and out of jealousy, vowed to get revenge on Gloria for standing up for her ex.
- Back at the poolhouse, a bitter Jeffrey applied the tainted Jabot face cream to himself. He later called Gloria to come to the hospital, claiming he had a food allergy. Once Glo arrived and saw the burns on his face, she realized what was happening. Jeff got Gloria to admit her part in the tainted cream, and not realizing there were officers standing nearby, she did. Gloria was arrested right then and there.
- Because of Gloria's testimony, River was freed.
- Frank Ellis (the forger of Victor's diary) tricked Adam into coming to the jail. Victor was there to greet his wayward son and gave Adam the opportunity to expose Jack's involvement in the forgery, which would ruin him once and for all. Adam declined. Paul also encouraged Adam to come clean on the scheme for Heather's sake, but Adam still remained mum.
- As Katherine settled into her life as Marge, things just weren't adding up. Murphy assured her she was right where she needed to be, and Kay began to see what a great guy he is.
Great stuff! At the rate things are going, the Genoa City jail will be housing half of the city's residents soon. Wouldn't it be a hoot to see Victor and Gloria team up in the clink? Stay tuned!
