Miss a day in the lives of Genoa Citians, miss a lot. Here's what happened on Tuesday, September 30, 2008's episode of The Young and the Restless.
- Billy slides right back in the saddle and offers to be the "Inside Man" at Jabot.
- At the encouragement of Gloria, Kevin tries to test Katherine's memory, but she passes with flying colors. Gloria's irked.
- Back at the Chancellor mansion, however, Esther tells Kay that she had a nice chat with Kate that afternoon, to which Kay asked "Oh, is she home from school?" Esther's stunned at Kay's blatant bout of memory loss.
- Lily drops the bomb that she is quitting her modeling gig in the Fresh Faces of Jabot campaign. Jill is left scrambling to look for models, but due to Lily's previous commitment, they've burned some serious bridges with models and agencies.
- Cane admits to Jill that he's having second thoughts about his contrived marriage to Chloe. Jill suspects this sudden change of heart has everything to do with Lily quitting the campaign. She tells Cane that he managed to convince even her that this is the right thing to do, and that, for the baby's sake, he needs to do what's best. He needs to let Lily move on since it would be so hard for her to see him move forward with his life, but Cane says he's not sure he can let her go.
- Speaking of Lily, she stops to see Colleen and blabs about leaving her Jabot job. She tells Col that she needs to move forward and she couldn't stand to see Cane every day. Colleen asks if Lily was considering dating again, to which Lil answers "yes".
- After Lily leaves, Cane shows up and offers Colleen the opportunity of a lifetime...to test for the Fresh Faces of Jabot campaign!
In other news...
- During Chloe's chat with Esther, she eludes to a past love gone wrong and admits she still loves the guy.
- After the Abbott family meeting, Jack has a vision of Dear Old Dad, where John tells Jack to be careful of Billy.
- At the close of the show, Billy shows up to surprise Jill.
