Another week in Genoa City is over and today's episode was a great one. If you missed Friday, October 3, 2008's episode of The Young and the Restless, here's what you missed.
- Colleen tells Lily she's going to turn down the job at Jabot because she doesn't want to risk their friendship. Lily says thanks, but encourages her pal to take the opportunity after all.
- Billy shows up at Cane's for drinks and it's made clear that Chloe and Billy have a history. Hm. One can't help but wonder if he is the guy Chloe referred to during her chat with Mama Esther the other day. It will surely be interesting to see what these two know about each other and who it will affect.
- Noah's out at a party he begged to go to (and did not expect there to be drinking at) - and it's his curfew. When a worried Sharon calls Nick, he goes running out on Phyllis to tackle the matter with his ex. When Nick calls Noah's cell, a drunken Eden answers. Busted!
- Michael and Lauren discuss their new teenage roomie, all the while oblivious to the fact that she had snuck out to a party. They go to her room to share a new lead in River's case, and find out she's gone.
- Amber shows up at Cane's and the quarter sits down to get to know each other. It doesn't take long for things between them to get uncomfortable (particularly between Cane and Chloe). Billy also mentions a brush with a particularly brazen woman at a newsstand in New York City and gives Chloe a pointed look. Could it be her? Even more light bulbs go off when Billy hears that Chloe's baby is due in April. Hmmm...
- Back at the teens' party, the police arrive and the drinking teens scatter. Nick and Sharon haul Noah home, ground him and ask him how they can trust him again. He promises that he was duped into thinking there would be a set of parents there and that there'd be no alcohol. Nick and Sharon threaten to send him back to private school.
- As Nick is reaming out Noah, Phyllis calls and asks to talk to Nick. Sharon tells her he's busy, but Phyllis presses on. Sharon asks her what part of "he's busy and can't come to the phone" she's having a hard time understanding. The two trade nasties and Phyllis hangs up, irked. She has a fantasy about Sharon seducing Nick, then calls the publisher to change the Editor's letter in Restless Style to rip apart Jack and Sharon as revenge.
- Once Eden arrives back home, Lauren and Michael attempt to get all "parent-y", but Eden doesn't appreciate it one bit. Michael lashes out at her and tells her if she doesn't like the rules, she can go into foster care. Later, Eden comes out with her things packed and says she's leaving. Michael blabs that River murdered a man and may be in prison for life.
- At the close of the show, Jack and Noah both see Sharon and Nick in an embrace that lingers just a little too long...
