Cleaning is a dirty business but it wasn't obvious how dirty until Flora Hernandez (Paula Garces, All My Children) is murdered at the Powell home during a lavish bash. Flora knew something she shouldn't, and her death sets in motion a hunt for the killer. Of course, the rich and famous families of Beverly Hills don't want to be inconvenienced by her death. But one of the maids is undercover, trying to sleuth out the real killer -- since the cops already have a poor sap in custody that they think they can prosecute for the crime. And before Season 1 of Devious Maids is over, as our undercover maid digs into the dirty secrets of these Beverly Hills lives, illicit affairs will be revealed and deep, dark secrets exposed as we learn the sordid details behind the shocking murder of this beloved housemaid.

The "Devious Maids" House Rules:
No. 2: You can clean your bosses house, but you can't clean up their past.
No. 3: What happens in the mansion, stays in the mansion.
No. 4: No matter what dirt you uncover, make sure your boss' record stays clean.
No. 5: You can clean their silver, but never tarnish their reputation.
Inspired by the hit telenovela, Ellas son… la alegría del hogar, Devious Maids is the story of five maids with ambition and dreams of their own who work for the rich and famous in Beverly Hills.
Think Upstairs Downstairs, but with a comic twist that is provided by Executive Producer Marc Cherry, who developed his style on the hit ABC series Desperate Housewives. Instead of five upper-class women who reside on Wisteria Lane, Devious Maids features a close-knit group of maids bonded together by their jobs, life struggles and the difficult relationships they have with their employers.
The Westmore Household
Rosie (Dania Ramírez, Entourage), a widow who came to the U.S. to make money, following the death of her husband, for her son who is still home in Mexico, works as the maid and nanny for a pair of self-absorbed, successful actors, Peri and Spence Westmore (Mariana Klaveno, True Blood and Grant Show, Ryan's Hope, Melrose Place).
The Rubio Household
Aspiring singer Carmen (Roselyn Sánchez, Without a Trace) hopes that her pop-star employer Alejandro (Matt Cedeño, ex-Days of our Lives) can help jump-start her career, but Odessa (Melinda Page Hamilton, Mad Men), his very loyal housekeeper and her boss, will stop at nothing to stand in her way.
The Delatour Household
Zoila (Judy Reyes, Scrubs) is the senior maid for Genevieve Delatour (Susan Lucci, ex-All My Children), a codependent, emotionally unstable wealthy woman. She works alongside her teen daughter Valentina (Edy Ganem, Livin' Loud), who has a crush on Genevieve’s handsome son, Remi (Drew Van Acker, Pretty Little Liars).
The Powell Household
In the series premiere, the women turn to one another for support when their friend and fellow maid Flora is brutally murdered at the home of her employers, Evelyn and Adrian Powell (Rebecca Wisocky, American Horror Story and Tom Irwin, Grey’s Anatomy), at one of the largest society events of the year.
The Stappord Household
Meanwhile, newcomer Marisol (Ortiz) is hired to clean the home of Taylor and Michael Stappord (Brianna Brown, Homeland, and Brett Cullen, Damages), a newlywed couple with a complicated love history. But Marisol has ulterior motives, and when someone she loves becomes wrapped up in Flora’s murder, she goes undercover to learn the truth.
Devious Maids is produced by ABC Studios. The series was created by Marc Cherry and is executive produced by Cherry, Sabrina Wind (Desperate Housewives), Eva Longoria (Desperate Housewives), Paul McGuigan (Scandal), Larry Shuman (Kissing Miranda), David Lonner, John Mass and Televisa USA's Paul Presburger and Michael Garcia.
