Jack to Sharon: I'm a Sex Addict!

Monday December 1, 2008

On The Young and the Restless, we are definitely used to smarmy Jack covering a batch of lies with more lies. That's nothing new. But this one, I must say, might be one of his most creative non-truths yet. Here's the scoop:

Fresh off a high from the Abbott family recapturing control of Jabot, Jack begins to feel mighty optimistic. He plans a romantic evening for Sharon in hopes of getting in her good graces once again, pulling out all the stops with a brand new dress for her, flowers, and a fireside dinner at the Genoa City Athletic Club. The two are having a splendid time and things are looking up...until they return to their hotel suite, that is.

Everybody's favorite lawyer, Michael, shows up and demands to know whether Jack had anything to do with forging Victor's journal. While all this is going down, room service arrives and delivers copies of Jack's credit card statement directly to Sharon...a statement which just happens to have a charge for the Genoa City Motor Arms Hotel as well as an escort service (whom Jack had paid to steal some keys from the forger). Stunned, Sharon rightfully demands an explanation.

With Michael standing right there, Jack needs an alibi and fast. So, what does he come up with? He's a sex addict!

This is a story I can't wait to see play out. Michael doesn't believe Jack for one second, Sharon is devastated and vulnerable and oh yeah, there's the little tidbit that none other than Feisty Phyllis was the one who set up the credit card receipt delivery to Sharon. If all goes well, Phyllis intends to send Sharon right into Brad's waiting arms, while keeping her far, far away from Nick and ruining Jack's marriage all in one fell swoop.

Something tells me Jack won't hear of that, though...
