Kevin told Lauren and Michael that he intended to marry Jana, even though they did not approve. Jack went before the ethics committee and seemed to have come through it better than he thought, until Gloria brought some startling news and was aloud to address the committee. Maggie had in her possession an authentic tape of Victor talking to Ji Min about Jack and Jabot, leading her to get a warrant to search his home and place of work. Heather and Cane decided on a "friendship" rather than pursue another type of relationship when Heather watched Cane and Lily's attraction for each other grow. With the baby still fighting to live and Victoria stable but still in a coma, the Newman's were amazed at how far mother and son had progressed. Instead of a long term care facility, Victoria was allowed to return to her own home, where Victor and Nikki vowed to make sure everything that Victoria needed would be provided for her. Victor began to react to the attention that Nikki was receiving from David, in a very unfavorable way. Gloria received her "day in court" proving to everyone that John Abbott did love her after all and wanted her to have half of his estate. Returning home and celebrating dinner at the club with Kevin, Gloria's evening turned sour when Jeffrey told her that she now had all the money necessary to buy all the "moisturizer" that she wanted.
