The Young and the Restless Weekly Recap: Week ending May 18, 2007

Each member of the Newman family prepared in their own way for Nicholas' memorial. Victoria continued to turn to J.T. instead of her husband for support. Jack promised Sharon that he would be a better husband after learning that she was not one of the casualties that went down in the Newman jet. Lauren and Michael agreed to be Summer's legal guardian in the event that she went to jail. Gloria plotted to get William good and jealous, by using an old friend. Paul and Maggie told Kevin that they were working with each other to uncover Jana's whereabouts. William told Michael that he was going ahead with the Jabot Cosmetics scandal investigation. Michael was caught in between when after working with Victor to bring down Jack, Katherine wanted him to draw up a contract so that she could buy Jabot. Planning Nicholas' memorial was no easy thing for Phyllis as all her suggestions went by the wayside, as Nikki and Victoria took over. Victor told Brad that he would no longer be a top guy because he would have to answer to Neil and Victoria, who would be running the company from now on.
