The Young and the Restless Spoilers for the Week of October 13 - 17, 2008

by Liberty Kontranowski
for About.com

Another action-packed week for the residents of Genoa City (and for some who are blowing back into town). Here's what's on the horizon for the week of October 13 - 17, 2008:

  • Nikki, Victoria and J.T. try to throw the feds off Victor's path (remember, the feds believe Vic may have had something to do with the death of Walter Palin, the mobster who killed Sabrina and David Chow). The trio purposefully leads the authorities in all the wrong directions, causing them to waste time (and effectively buying time for Victor).
  • J.T. is instrumental in the plan to save Pa Newman. He goes to Rio on the sly and checks into a hotel under the name "Christian Miller", Victor's birth name. He then plants some of Victor's things in the room ensure the feds believe Vic's really there. Later, Nikki will go to Rio in full view, hoping the feds will follow her. Victoria wants to go too, but Nikki tells her to stay home to run Newman Enterprises and raise her son. Victoria agrees. Nikki vows to do whatever it takes to protect Victor.

Other happenings...

  • Tuesday, October 14: Amber and Phyllis go toe to toe on the nationally syndicated radio program, Loveline. Dr. Drew Pinsky and Stryker make guest appearances (via voice-overs) while the duo dual. That same day, Daniel is forced to make a confession (a little Amber love, perhaps?)
  • Wednesday, October 15: Tyra and Ana show up back in town. Will Neil convince them to stay?
  • Thursday, October 16: Paul is put in a sketchy position and must decide whether to help out his daughter, Heather, with her investigation, or protect a true friend.

And finally...

  • As River runs from authorities, he tries to talk Eden into staying with Lauren and Michael. She doesn't want to leave her dad, but River convinces her they'll talk about it after she gets some sleep. In the meantime, River calls Gloria, the one person he trusts most in the world, to come get Eden. She arrives at the warehouse where River is hiding out and begs him to turn himself in. Instead, River pleads with her to take Eden. She does, just as sirens are approaching.
  • In a surprising twist of loyalty, Michael puts himself in harm's way by showing up at the warehouse and convincing River to turn himself in instead of running. He tells River he has evidence that could clear him of the 40-year-old murder charge and that he believes in his innocence. That statement alone (along with Michael's playing the Eden card) convinces River to turn himself in. He suddenly has belief that he may get out of this mess after all.

I can't decide which storyline I'm most excited about. I can't wait for them all to play out. How about you?
