Here's what you missed if you didn't catch Tuesday, September 23, 2008's episode of
The Young and the Restless.
- Chloe and Jill have a little mother-in-law/daughter-in-law pow wow, in which Chloe tries to tap into Jill's grandmotherly side. Naturally, Jill won't have it. She's cold as cold can be despite all of Chloe's efforts.
- Later, when Cane arrives home, Jill informs him she's been cleared of all charges by the SEC and is ready to head to back to work. Cane wants the smoke to clear, and tells her so. Jill asks him to reconsider, knowing how manipulative Katherine can be with the business.
- Cane runs into Esther and Katherine at Crimson Lights and shows them a picture of the ultrasound. K calls the baby "Lily's" more than once. At the Chancellor manse, K forgets that she'd even seen the ultrasound. Esther freaks and begs her to see the doc. Katherine sternly tells Esther to never, ever tell Jill about her forgetfulness.
- In New York, Billy and Amber have drinks with Lily while Daniel and Colleen close up shop at the gallery. Amber imagines that her ex and Colleen are steaming it up at the gallery (which they eventually do) and becomes jealous. To pay them back for her vivid imagination, when Colleen and Daniel finally meet up with everyone at the club, Amber throws herself on Billy and they make tracks to Billy's hotel room. Daniel's clearly affected.
- When Lily has Daniel alone, she tells him that if Colleen is the girl for him, great. If she's not, well, there's nothing worse than being with someone you don't love.
- Back at Billy's hotel room, Amber and Billy wrinkle the sheets and afterwards, Billy inquires about Cane (remember, Cane and Amber were once an item.) Amber speaks highly of him and Billy seems jealous. Bill admits that maybe it's time for him to meet his half-brother.
- Meanwhile, Michael tends to his newly discovered sister, but leaves hastily to go see River in the clink. While he's there, Michael grills River about Eden and Riv asks Michael to look after her. Michael reluctantly agrees.
- While Michael's still there, a hippie lawyer makes his entrance, saying he's Riv's self-appointed attorney. River accepts this wacky fella's services and the men begin reminiscing about the peace demonstrations they've each visited. Michael cringes and is sure River will be convicted before Hippie Guy even finishes his opening statements.
- Back at home, Michael invites Eden to stay with them, but she initially refuses. Michael plays the "don't make Dad worry about anything else" card and Eden finally gives in. Lauren is supportive.
- At the close of the show, Chloe complains to Cane about having sore hands due to pregnancy. Cane asks if she can take anything for the pain, which, of course, she can't. She begins rubbing her hands, but Cane tells her he'll do it for her. Chloe glows.
- Daniel heads to the gallery one more time and looks at a sketch of Amber's backside. He puts the sold sticker back on it (he removed it yesterday, even though Billy had purchased the pic) and left the gallery. Is he giving up on Amber for good?
