If you love a little hilarity mixed in with your drama, today was your day. Here's what went down on Tuesday, October 14, 2008's episode of The Young and the Restless.
- When Phyllis learns that Billy is shacking up with Amber, she tells Amb she's in violation of the lease agreement and evicts her. She also tells Daniel she'd happily release Amber from her job at Restless Style as well if he wanted her to.
- After spilling her guts to Jana, Amber calls into Loveline, the national radio show. After Phyllis hears Amb ripping into her, she calls in and the two battle it out for all the nation to hear. After a bit, Daniel gets involved in the mix and ends up admitting on air that he still loves Amber.
- Meanwhile, at Crimson Lights, Lily is surfing a dating site and gets a message from a guy who sounds interesting. Who should it be, but Billy Abbott, operating under the alias "Sonny Crawford"!
- After the party held for him and Cane at the Chancellor manse, Billy calls Colleen to solicit an invite to Crimson Lights so he can make a move on Lily.
- An ever-jealous Chloe gets wind of this and claims the baby is craving cranberry scones from CL. She begs Cane to take her there.
- Just as Billy is flirting away with Lily at CL, Cane and Chloe show up and Chloe's baby starts to kick. Cane and Billy both feel it and an uncomfortable Lily walks away. As always, Cane goes after her. He apologizes for "doing that" in front of her, and Lily tells him he shouldn't apologize, she just didn't realize it would hurt so much. Meanwhile, as Chloe and Billy are chatting alone, Billy tells Chloe that he saw Cane and Lily kissing the other day.
- Elsewhere, Michael talks River out of the warehouse, but not without effort. He tells River of the new evidence he's found that could clear Riv's name. He also tells his Pop that he believes in his innocence and asks River to let him do his job and clear his name. River surrenders and is hauled off to jail yet again.
- At the ranch, Nikki puts the family's plan to save Victor into action by packing some of his things into his suitcase. Of course, the session is laced with flashbacks of the two of them over the years. Later, J.T. arrives and assures Nikki he knows just what to do.
- Finally, after the Chancellor/Abbott dinner party, Jill corners Esther and asks her if she feels something is "off" with Katherine lately. Esther spills about Kay's recent senior moments. Later, a woman looking like Katherine orders a drink at a bar. Hmmm....
