I love Fridays in Genoa City, don't you? Here's what happened to round out the week on The Young and the Restless.
- Neil and Victoria call a news conference to announce Nick rejoining Newman Enterprises in hopes that it will quell any fears that the business cannot function without Victor.
- After the conference, Nick calls Sharon over.
- Nick drops the bomb that he is going back to work at Newman Enterprises, but says he is still a part of Restless Style. Sharon is surprised, but seems pleased.
- Sharon gets an even bigger surprise when Nick asks her to come back and represent Beauty of Nature for Newman Enterprises again. She tells Jack about the offer. He's not thrilled, but finally tells her to accept the position.
- After being accosted by Heather, Victoria confronts Nikki about what she knows regarding Victor's time in Mexico. Nikki calls Nick in as well to explain the story.
- Nikki explains that Victor was on a boat with the same mobster who killed David Chow and Sabrina. One of them survived; the other one didn't. Nikki theorizes that Victor may have killed the mobster, Walter Palin, and used the weather conditions to make it look like the storm is what did him in.
- Nick demands to know Victor's whereabouts so he can warn him, but Michael swears he doesn't know. Nick wants him tracked down and tells Michael what's up. He also mentions that Heather knows the identity of the dead mobster and that she is hot on this case.
In other bad guy news...
- River calls Eden from jail and tells her to be prepared to help him as they discussed. He then hangs up, takes a pill, and is rushed to the hospital.
- In the hospital, Eden goes in to see Riv with a guard and Lauren, but still manages to slip River a pick to get out of the handcuffs. River appears to be unconscious, but the second Eden and Company leave the room, he gets to work on freeing himself.
- Lauren needs to leave the hospital, but leaves Eden there. Eden distracts the guard while River tries to slip out the window. The guard catches him, but River leaps out anyway.
- And while all this is happening, Michael gets a call that River's bail has been granted. D'oh!
And still more naughty news...
- Jack sets up a meeting with him, Adam and Frank Ellis (the man Jack's chosen to help forge Victor's diary) at Crimson Lights.
- A snakey Jack calls Adam and tells him he has an emergency at home (he doesn't!) and that Adam will have to meet this guy alone. Adam balks, but agrees anyway.
- Frank shows up and accepts Jack and Adam's deal. All goes well until Heather shows up and recognizes him from a case in Chicago. Adam plays off the meeting as though the guy were a potential job lead and Heather buys it. Adam alerts Jack to the situation, but assures him it's all good.
Can't wait to see what next week holds!
