Young and the Restless Recap: December 18, 2007

Victor and J.T. talked about J.T. becoming a brand new dad. As the two chatted about the joys of fatherhood, Nikki and Brad walked in. Brad learned that he was not the baby's father but while Victor was more unfriendly, J.T. told Brad that he could see the baby. As the doctor talked with J.T. about his son, who was now doing much better, Nikki spoke with a despondent Brad, telling him that all through this difficult time, she was able to see the best of him.

Having felt relief over the outcome, J.T. was anxious to do his fatherly duties. He spoke with Victor, and informed him that he was going to name his son. He chose the name "Reed", which was Nikki's maiden name, but also because it stood for something that could bend when necessary, but remain strong.

Brad and Sharon had a long conversation about how he felt. He told her how upset and disappointed he was, because he believed all along that he was the father of Victoria's child.

As Nikki tried once again to be civil to Victor, asking for a truce, she hoped that they could both attend their granddaughter's birthday party. Victor was in no mood to be pleasant as he told Nikki that he was calling in her loan. Shocked by his thinking, Victor left Nikki standing alone as David entered the room. Nikki took the moment to tell David what had happened, but then became annoyed when he admitted that he knew about the loan being recalled. Nikki blasted David for keeping secrets from her and warned him that he better not do it again..

The girl talk of the day had Lily and Colleen chatting about Lily's "almost" kiss with Cane.

Lily thought that perhaps Cane was rethinking their age difference thing and was willing to give whatever it was that they shared, a chance. Cane arrived for a meeting and he and Jill, along with an invited Lily talked over the plans for an ad campaign. Lily was responsible for suggesting a plan that Jill liked, and Jill left to go onto other things, leaving Cane and Lily alone. Once again, Lily was left brokenhearted as Cane apologized for the "almost kiss." Again, the two of them, decided on just a friendship kind of relationship.

Katherine ran into Amber at the club. As the two chatted, Katherine asked Amber to join her as she worked out. Amber had to refuse though, as her divorce from Cane left her without a club membership. Katherine then offered to pay for her membership, if Amber helped her with her therapy. Amber agreed and the two settled in on Katherine's injury, she began to tell Amber about her past life with Jill. She urged Amber to let go of Cane, just like she should have of Cane's father, because he was no longer in love with her.

Nikki ran into Victor again and rip-roaring mad told him that she was going to sue him for destroying the development of Clear Springs. She blamed him for his lack of caring about other people and told him that it was now time for him to pay.
