Young and the Restless Recap: September 14, 2004

From Diane Adams, for About.com

Lily and Devon leave the house but Lily leaves a note behind for Neil.  Olivia arrives at Neil's to check on her patient.  Neil is reluctant to tell her anything but finally does.  He is worried but doesn't know what to do.  Devon tells Lily that she should go on home but she won't leave him.  By accident, Kevin comes upon them.  Kevin guesses they are running away.  He tells them they should go back, and tells Lily how concerned her parents were when she was in the hospital.  Neil tells Olivia that they are sending out a patrol car to look for them.  Kevin reminds Lily that she has a really good home life and parents who love her.  That two wrongs don't make a right.  He knows and he tells them that they should not do that to themselves.  Lots of people would love to have a family like the two of them.

Lauren goes in to see Michael.  She is told that his two partners are busy elsewhere.  Chris is out of town and Paul is ---well, says Michael, "I am not my brother's keeper."  Michael also tells Lauren that Lt. Webber is again investigating the Lily Winters episode at the Rec Center.  Lauren is amazed that Lt. Webber thinks that Kevin could possibly be involved.  Michael is concerned about Kevin's "desperate" need to be a good guy.  Michael tells Lauren that she will become bored with Paul and if she were nice enough, she could have him.  He brings out a drink for Lauren and himself and proposes a toast to naughty boys and girls everywhere.  Michael puts down the drinks and grabs Lauren and takes her in his arms to dance.

Sharon goes to see "Marilyn's" club reopening.  Bobby introduces some of the new dancers to the crowd.  Brittany comes in and hides behind a curtain while she watches what is going on.  Nikki is also on the sidelines watching when Brittany calls her over.  Nikki tells Bobby that she will introduce the next act.  She tells the crowd that she (Nicole) has enjoyed meeting all of them, but now has a little something special for all to see.  How would they like to meet Marilyn.  Brittany comes out and sings a song just to Bobby, The Very Thought of You.  It pleases the crowd immensely as she finishes, and Bobby tells her to go and take a bow center stage.  She does and then breaks into a strip number.  "Nicole" walks over to Bobby, leans in on his shoulder, pleased that all is going well.  Sharon looks at Nikki, doubtful, but, likes what is going on in the club.

Jill waits at the bar, for Jack.  She is supposed to be having drinks with him.  When he does, he asks how Elliot Hampton is doing and Jill tells Jack that just perhaps, he really isn't doing anything wrong.  Jack reminds her of what she was saying just a short time ago, and Jill puts him off. Jill receives a phone call in the middle of the conversation with Jack, and she agrees to meet him there at the club for dinner.  Jack looks at her strangely.   He then reminds her not to forget that they are going to the Harvest Dance together and Jill says that she won't.  Jack leaves and Elliot enters.  He suggests once again that nice little place out of town that Jill refused to go to before, except that this time, Jill says yes.  Jill also tells Elliot that she doesn't like men who go too slow and she hopes that he won't.  He tells her that fooling around is his favorite thing to do.

At John's house, Ashley thanks Gloria for arranging the dinner party they are all attending so they could get to know her better.  Gloria tells everyone that she doesn't have much family.  Mamie asks her about her sons.  She tells everyone that they don't really get along that well.  Mamie and Ashley notice that Gloria has pretty well taken over telling the staff what to do and the dinner arrangements that brought about this gathering.  She tells Ashley that she is sorry that Brad and Jack could not join them, but, maybe next time.  Mamie starts to question her about Detroit.  After the party breaks up and everyone leaves, John and Gloria have a few moments to spend together before retiring.  He tells her once again that he is delighted she is staying there.  They say goodnight and John goes upstairs.  Gloria sits there quietly looking like the new "lady" of the manor.
