Phyllis and Nicholas decided that he should move into Phyllis' apartment, which they now call home.
Sharon became all ruffled when Noah brought in a Chinese puzzle and Sharon put it on her fingers and couldn't remove it. She began shouting at Noah, and Victor entered the house, to hear what was going on. Noah tells Victor that he is very unhappy with his mother, that she is mean and hasn't been the same since he came back from his visit to Aunt Casey's. Victor later talks with Noah, and tries to get him to understand that even though his mom may have acted badly, she still loved him no matter what. Zapata was the example that Victor used in telling a story to Noah about behavior.
Later, Nicholas played a little basketball with his dad, and again said some things against his mom that Nicholas would not tolerate. Noah was given a time out but the problem was not really solved. When Phyllis stopped by, Nicholas told her that he thinks Sharon might need a break and Noah needs someone he can turn to if necessary. He tells Phyllis that he has to put off moving in with her, so Noah will be free to spend some time at the club with him. Phyllis said that she understood.
When they were alone, Victor suggested to Sharon, that because of the kidnapping and all, she might think about seeing a therapist. She hesitates at first, but later, takes a card from Victor with a therapist's name on it and goes to the phone to place a call. Victor sits at the table cutting up an apple, and suddenly goes into a little session of his own, when he thrusts the knife he was using to cut the apple into the table, stating that he would like to kill the guy who did this to his family. Nicholas happened to walk in and hear all of this.
Gloria, Michael and Kevin prepared themselves for the probate hearing. Michael tries to tell them that it is not a place to make a statement because the deceased is making one when his will is read.
At the other end of the spectrum is Ashley and Jack preparing to leave also. Jack tells Ashley to think about what it would be like not to have Gloria in their lives.
As the hearing begins, Gloria walks up to Jack and Ashley and makes a touching motion, by offering to bury the hatchet. Michael is talking with Christine and then announces out loud that there is a new will. Right now it can't be proven, because it has not yet arrived, and the judge is about to adjourn the hearing when the prison chaplain walks in with the document. The judge quickly makes sure that no one touches it and gives it to her aide to test it for fingerprints and then to make copies for everyone. Michael starts to throw a bunch of questions later at the chaplain, and as he is talking, Jack remembers how this all came about. It seems that when he visited his father, when he was very ill, he argued with him about Gloria and the fact that he was in jail because of her. Somehow John made the assumption that Gloria, was actually Dina who had left him years ago when John was a very angry man. Jack uses this to have his father draw up a new will, leaving everything to his children, the business, and nothing to his wife. He also listed that Jack was to be the sole executor of his estate.
Later, when the hearing is over and Jack and Ashley have returned home, Ashley asks her brother if he was in any way responsible for this new will. He spurts off a lot of hogwash, but is still feeling anger, when he remembers that his father was in jail because of Gloria, and that he definitely would want to do something to get even.
Gloria decides to go home, rather than stay at Lauren and Michael's for the night. She feels a need to be surrounded by John's things, and close to him. As she arrives, she discovers bags outside the door. She probably presumes that these are some of John's personal belongings. She puts her key in the door to discover that it doesn't work, and then the unthinkable happens. Jack walks by the front door, looking directly at Gloria and holding a set of keys. The look on his face says that he has had the locks changed and she is no longer welcome into the Abbott home.
