Young and the Restless Recap: July 18, 2006

Victoria tells her father that he has a form of epilepsy and must tell her mother as soon as possible. Victor tries to pooh pooh the idea by not wanting to worry Nikki.

Neil visits "Carmen's crib." He realizes that it is the Genoa City executive suite at the athletic club.

Daniel tells Alex to keep his mouth shut and not talk about his wife that way. He hangs up and tells Kevin that Alex is with Lily. He thinks that he was drawn to the club so that he could Alex could get to Lily.

Victoria goes to the office looking for her mother. When she finds her, she is aghast, because Victor managed to slip and away from everyone and no one knows where he is. Victoria tells her mother that she had to take her father to the doctor today because something was wrong. Then she tells her mom that her dad had a seizure while in the doctor's office.

In the meantime, Victor walks into the athletic club bar and sees Jack . He joins him. Victor asks and Jack tells him that he doesn't know the results of the paternity test yet.

Daniel is on the phone telling someone to have Lily call him directly when they see her. He calls Kevin asking again if he has seen him, just as Lily walks in the door.

Jack tells Victor that he really doesn't want any company right now, he is having a really bad day. While trying to shoot some "hoops, Victor suggests that Jack's anger is because he won't show his true feelings for anyone to see. Victor tells him that when he did, things suddenly got better. Jack tells him that he is as mad as hell.

Kevin teases Jana as they are closing up the coffeehouse. He wants to know why she is taking so long if she is the manager and he is the one doing all the work. She is out on the terrace and brings the person inside as Kevin realizes that the person she had been talking to was Alex. Alex comments to Kevin, that "it has been a long time." As Alex talks, Kevin tells Jana to go on home now, and she privately asks Kevin why he is suddenly trying to get rid of her. She finally says that this time she will leave but don't expect it again.

Neil and Carmen tease over the fact that the two of them ended up with the "two of cups." It is a symbol of romance and although Neil hesitates to believe in that "stuff," Carmen spills aloud information about the things that she has learned. She also shows Neil, the new telescope that she bought herself after spending the evening with a star gazer. He offers to put it together for her and she lets him. They both look out and talk.

Nikki learns that Victor doesn't have to be passed out when he is having the seizures.

Jack listens intently as Victor throws his cell phone into the trash can so that he can have Jack's full attention and tells him what the doctor said at the office visit earlier. Victor tells Jack that what he needs is something that happened to him also. "A spiritual awakening." Victor thinks that it is wonderful. He tells Jack that when he decided to forgive both Nicholas and Sharon, his burdens were lifted and he suggests to Jack that it might help him also. He tells Jack that if he were able to forgive Phyllis, it would be a huge step in the right direction. Jack tells him that he will think about it. Victor says that the burdens would suddenly be lifted off his shoulders.

Nikki breaks down as she hears the news about Victor from their daughter. She tells Victoria that all she cares about is that her Victor be the man that she married, and it doesn't matter if the change in him was caused by the seizures or not. She just wants Victor to be healthy.

After spending time together, Neil and Carmen say goodnight. He leaves her apartment and says that he will see her at the salt mines.

Victor returns to his office. He sits down at his desk and takes out his prescriptions that he was ordered to take. Victor switched his pills around as Nikki came into the office. She falls all over him as she is concerned about his health. He tells her that his illness is under control and Victor manages to fool her, by telling her that it is time to take another pill, although knowing it is not the correct one.

Daniel and Kevin meet with Alex at the basketball court. Alex, unknowing to both Kevin and Daniel, tapes them admitting to the set-up that was planned and acted on by him. When he uses it against them, demanding $10,000.00, they wonder what they are going to do.
