Young and the Restless Recap: June 08, 2006

Gloria calls Jill to meet with her. She has an idea that will help the company and hope that Jill agrees with her. She tells her that Ashley's line was formulated to work along the regular customer line, but what if they has a high quality lower priced line, affordable to say, others at a lower cost. Reminding Jill that she used to be a manicurist and probably would have loved to have owned something by a style company like Jabot, she thinks that this would appeal to the public and help to enrich sales. Other big name companies are doing the same thing, but still keeping the high quality of all their fragrances. They could call theirs "JC" or something like that. Jill likes the idea but will have to run it through Ashley first. Gloria tells Jill that Jack was hired at NVP.

Brad runs into Jill. It makes him happy to think about what happened for him, and he tells her that he is the newest member of the Newman Board of Directors.

Jack arrives at his new office. He puts out a picture of Abby and the paper dolls that Victor and her made the day before. He receives a welcome basket from Victor and smiles.

Colleen calls JT. She tells him that her computer is still frozen and she really needs to do something on it. She would like him to put his password in so that she can register for school. JT tells her "no" and then goes home to see her. When he arrives there, he tells her again, that she cannot use his computer because of his work. She tells him that he has a bad attitude the way that he is protecting the use of the computer. She tells him that he is not a member of the CIA and there is no need to be so secretive. He disagrees with her. The phone rings and it is Brad. He comes down on JT because Colleen has decided to move in permanently with JT and blames him for her not wanting to come back home. JT tells her that he will take care of Colleen and he doesn't have to worry about her. Brad then speaks with Colleen. Afterwards, JT fixes her computer and Colleen takes off for the coffeehouse.

Kevin brings coffee over to Mike at Crimson Lights and Jana, a new employee calls Kevin back to the counter for some information. Michael happens to look up and sees that the two of them are friendly. Kevin and Jana talk and Kevin asks Jana out. She readily says that she would like that. Colleen overhears the conversation and takes Jana aside to tell her what she believes Kevin tried to do to her, kill her, a couple of years before. When Kevin comes up to Jana again, to set the time, she tells him that she cannot go. He realizes that Colleen must have said something and is very upset. He approaches her and she admits to telling Jana about what happened. Kevin tell Colleen that one day she will need someone to stand up for her also and there will be no one, then she will realize what she has done. Michael and Kevin talk about the obvious love that Michael all ready has for his unborn child, and the fact that the two of them had such a bad childhood. Kevin, later, is with Gloria as she tells him that if her new idea goes through, that it will secure their future. Kevin lashes out at her for always thinking about herself. He tells her that she has never accepted responsibility for the things that she has caused. As they talk, he tells her what Colleen did. Gloria tells Kevin that she will talk to her if he wants that, and he comments that that is all he needs. Then he stands up, and tells Gloria that he isn't going to take it anymore.

Nikki becomes upset when she learns that Jack was hired by Victor for NVP.

Phyllis calls Michael. She knows that Lauren's further testing is today and she is compassionate as to what they are going through.

Nikki goes to see Jack. She wants him to reconsider working for Victor as she sees it as a bad idea all around.

Victor meets Brad in the hallway at Newman's and the two of them head for Phyllis' office. Jack will be taking over his duties to allow him more time to spend with Nikki. Phyllis thinks that he is joking, but learns that he is serious. Later, Victor tells Brad that he will expect a report on the Granville Global account.

Later, Jack and Phyllis run into each other and he tells her that he is working there now. Carmen passes them in the hallway and says hello. He later calls her to ask her to dinner again, and this time Carmen accepts.

Victor comes into Jack's office to welcome him to the company. Jack tells him that good things and exciting times are coming for all of them. Phyllis stands at the door, looking back and forth at the two of them, actually getting along and talking business. When Victor leaves, Phyllis and Jack talk about him turning the project idea for NVP down. It was the creation of this company that tore them apart. She tells him that she hopes this really works out for him, and leaves his office. Jack has a look of anger on his face, after she leaves.
