Young and the Restless Recap: June 01, 2006

Nikki thanks Victor for allowing Phyllis to come back to NVP. Nikki all ready feels better knowing that she can trust Phyllis to make the right decisions. Victor tells her that he did it for her, so that they could spend more time together at home, and she wouldn't have to work so hard. Nikki believes that someone is watching over the two of them. She comments that at this time, someone is also watching over Nicholas and Sharon too. Brad and Victoria stop by to say "hi" and learn that Phyllis has returned to work at NVP. Later, Nikki and Victor talk about what they can do to alleviate the tension of Phyllis working with them again. They agree to send Phyllis out of town to handle all of the business away and that way Nikki can remain close to home.

Victoria and Brad share a few moments together before he has to go out of town. She gives him some "reading material" knowing that he loves to read. He calls her "naughty" and the two of them kiss and prepare to say goodbye. Sharon walks by and watches them.

Phyllis drops in to see Daniel and Lily. He looks for the graduation ticket for her. As they talk, Daniel tells Phyllis that Lily is down because of her parents. They talk about the benefit for Cassie, and Phyllis tells her son how proud she is of him. He has grown into a fine young man. She leaves and Lily and Daniel talk about how emotional Phyllis was when she was talking about her son. Lily tries to tell him that all Mothers are like that about their children.

Neil reads a letter from the school stating that Devon is graduating with honors and a scholarship to boot. He is proud of his son. Dru walks in, and Devon learns that she is leaving on a European tour after graduation. Neil asks Devon if he plans on living at home after graduation or going to GCU dorm, but he hasn't made up his mind yet.

Nicholas tells Sharon that he had nothing to do with bringing Phyllis back to NVP. He tries to explain to her that his Father did it, to help out his Mother, because the work was just too much for her. Sharon tells him that it makes sense, but it doesn't concern her, what he does with Phyllis as they are getting a divorce anyway.

Phyllis goes to her Doctor's appointment, and runs into Lauren there, waiting to see her Doctor. Lauren is surprised to see her and asks if her visit is anything serious. Phyllis says "no," she is just nervous at having her yearly exam.

Victoria returns to talk with her brother. She tells him that Phyllis has returned to NVP. Victoria tells him that it is a shame that the two favorite men in her life can't get along with each other. Nicholas tells her that he hopes, for her sake, that he is wrong about Brad. She tells him that she believes that good old "Dad" hired Phyllis back to help their Mom, not to cause problems for him and Sharon. Brad and Sharon riding down on the elevator together wish each other a good trip and will see each other again when they return.

Daniel opens his front door and receives a package for Lily. She opens it and looks at the card. It is something from her Mother for her graduation. Lily is hoping that the graduation ceremony will bring the family back together, and maybe they will be able to call a permanent truce.

Michael enters the waiting room of the Doctor's office where he encounters Phyllis. Lauren is with her Doctor. Phyllis asks Michael if she can be forced to take a DNA test. Michael tells her "yes", and if she refuses to do so, they can both petition the court. Phyllis tells him that if either of them tries to take her baby away, she will kill them. Michael tells her not to remember the past, she was younger then, and what she did then, was lie to Danny about being the Father to Daniel. Michael believes that neither man would want to take away her child, because they would want what is best for the child, and that is being with her. He does warn her to tell them the truth now though, before the matter becomes worse and they learn the truth from someone else.
