'Young and the Restless' Recap: May 05, 2008

Was Gloria in one of her delusional moods or did she really want to do something for the good of others with the money that she inherited. Her lawyer told her to think about it.

Jeffrey, on the other hand was on the phone talking to his lawyer about a divorce from Gloria with a package deal.

Esther was at the bar having one of her "special" concoctions when Gloria spotted and then joined her. Bringing the subject around to Jeffrey, Gloria learned that Jeffrey was not sleeping with Jill but rather was in the guest wing, where Esther found herself having to wait on him, much to her chagrin.

Over at Brad's house, the poker game was in full swing as the players were gearing up for higher stakes. In the midst of it all was David, who should not have been there at all. When the new player, Skye, started betting larger, David joined in to match her, but then Skye placed a bet with a $50,000.00 check. David, sure he would win, wrote his own check and lo and behold, he lost!!! (Like we didn't know that was going to happen.) The poker party broke up and afterwards Skye and Brad chatted and flirted while she headed for the door to return to Adam. David then came out from presumably the restroom, looking rather ashen. He told Brad that he wouldn't be able to cover the check that he had written to Skye making Brad wonder if he couldn't just borrow it from Nikki. It was then that David told Brad that Nikki thought he had given up gambling. Twas then that the light bulb went off in Brad's head, and he offered to cover Brad's expenses for the night. David was appreciative knowing that he wouldn't have to worry about Nikki, for now.

Returning home, Skye was delirious as she told Adam about her little "con" for the evening. They both laughed about it until Skye let is slip as to who it was that she won all the money from.

Victoria went to her Dad to set things straight about how she was feeling these days at work. She stated matter-of-factly that she believed she was being treated unfairly, as though she had accomplished nothing. Victor looked at her rather strangely thinking that either he or she had misunderstood what was happening. Victoria told him that it seemed since new people had come into his life, his old family was being pushed aside. Victor tried to tell her that he believed he was making solid business decisions but Victoria didn't believe her. Upon hearing that, Victoria told her father that she was going to take no more, and quit her job at Newman's, and then walked out. A few minutes later, Sabrina walked in and could see that something was bothering Victor. When she asked, he told her that it was not because of her but rather, Adam. Sabrina told Victor that Adam was rather obnoxious, but Victor took up immediately for his son.

Gloria snuck on over to Jill and Katherine's to find out what was up, and heard moaning as she walked through the door. Thinking the worse, she barged through as Jeffrey had just finished a foot rub on Jill. Gloria told Jeffrey that she could not handle this sort of stuff any longer and walked out. Jill commented that to her it seemed that Jeffrey was still in love with Gloria and she him. He told her "no" then pulled Jill towards him and passionately kissed her.

Victoria went to see her mother and told her that she quit Newman's. She now wanted a job at Jabot, which Nikki was thrilled to hear, as she hired her on the spot. Later Nikki told David that Victoria was now a Jabot employee, which certainly didn't please him, even though he pretended to be happy for Nikki.
