Young and the Restless Recap: April 26, 2005

Jack talks to Katherine. She is in charge and control of the conversation though, and tells him that if he has any intention of firing her daughter, he better do it in front of her. She tells him that Jill is CEO, is that understood? He asks her where she heard that he wanted to hire Victoria to the top position and she tells him it doesn't matter, it was just a good thing that she found out in time. Katherine leaves and Jill tells Jack that if there were a prize for alienating the most people in the shortest amount of time, he would win. Jill tells him that she feels betrayed by him, one of her closest friends. She tells him again to set up the meeting to announce her appointment as CEO and he better also watch his back. He tells her that Victoria was his first choice and when she refused, he asked her and now he had to rescind the offer. Victoria was the right person to take Jabot into the future. She leaves the area and Jack has put together that the reason this all happened was because Victor found out. He silently says to himself that Victor will pay.

Victor visits Nicholas. Victor tells him that Jack Abbott offered Victoria the top position at Jabot. Nicholas disagrees as he knows that the job was offered to Jill. It doesn't make any difference anyway to Nicholas where Victoria works because it won't be with him. He tells his Father that Victoria could never follow his lead. Victor makes a plea for him to find a place for his sister somewhere in the company. He tells him that he made him CEO to help reunite the family and now you keep your sister out. Nicholas claims that Victor is trying to exert his force again over him. He tells his Father to let it go. Victor says that the person he chose to head Victoria's division is in no way prepared or competent to do the job. She can't compare to his sister. Victor claims that this is about family. Working together with his sister wasn't going to make the company stronger. Victor tells him again that he's now embarking on a path that will destroy him.

Brad and Victoria talk at the gym. They catch up with each other about Italy, due to the fact that Brad had also spent some time there. Victoria learns that Brad and Ashley have separated, and that Brad quit his job at Jabot when Jack passed on him to be CEO. Victoria suggests that perhaps Jack had other plans. At the end of the conversation, they both agree that they had a good time with each other.
