Gloria sat alone in the "big house" crying because there was no one to enjoy the fact that she had everything that she wanted. Jana arrived just in time to talk about her wedding plans. Gloria admitted that she had been married five (5) times but still believed in love.

Nikki was worrying about her missing fiancé. It seems that he was nowhere to be found, and she was perturbed that she hadn't heard from him, after leaving several messages for him. Running into Paul, he observed that she was not herself. She told Paul, in confidence, that she was concerned about David, because he had a gambling problem and she knew what it was to have an addiction.

Paul asked if she wanted him to look into David's background, but she told him no, at least not at this time.

Sabrina surprised Victor by entering his office and announcing that she had decided to accept his job offer and stay in Genoa City. Victor asked her if she had told his daughter, Victoria about their relationship but she hadn't as of yet. Running into Victoria, Sabrina told her of her new job and remaining in Genoa City. Victoria was thrilled at the idea, and announced that since this wonderful thing happened, all things were possible, and perhaps her parents would also get back together. Victoria also assumed that her father had given Sabrina a job just to please her. Needless to say, Sabrina was unable to use that time to tell Victoria about Victor.

While spending a little time together, Nikki, Sabrina and Victoria celebrated Sabrina's new position, but Nikki started to wonder what was going on when she learned that Sabrina would be staying out at the ranch.

Adrian showed Colleen the advance copy of his book. While looking across the table he saw Brad and Heather sitting together. Adrian mentioned that Brad might not be too happy when the book goes public because it tells so much about him. Colleen wasn't worried, only about the fact that she would be alone again as Adrian was headed back out of town to do some promo on his book.

Michael and Kevin were both in "out of sort moods" when discussing their mother. They had come to realize that regardless of her "over the top" way of living, they were missing having her around. Sharon then made an appearance and asked to speak to Michael privately. She tried to get him to drop his suit against Jack, but when he refused, she ended up telling him that he was just like his mother.

Brad and Heather sat at a table discussing what was supposed to be business, but she turned the subject to him and his personal life. He opted not to say anything about it, and the subject changed. Heather became aware that Brad did not like David. Paul spotted the two together and went to say "hello" to Heather. He then asked to dinner and Brad scoffed that he had a lot of nerve hitting on her when he was having lunch. Heather settled the argument by telling Brad that Paul was her father.

Jack and Jeffrey sat at the bar with a drink in front of them, looking all alone. Then Jack joined Sharon to tell her that he had done something for the two of them, he bought them a house.

In a non-traditional way, Jana and Kevin finally were able to decide on a wedding day.
