'Young and the Restless' Recap: April 10, 2008

From Diane Adams

Jack and Phyllis were discussing business when they were interrupted by a man delivering a summons for Jack. It had been initiated by Michael on behalf of his wife Lauren. Revealing to Phyllis the plan that he had initiated with Alistair to get Gloria out of the Abbott home brought chuckles from Phyllis until she learned that the amount Michael was suing for was $2,000,000.00. Jack told Phyllis that he finally had decided to give Gloria the house, even though he really didn't want to, but Phyllis thought it was for the best, that he ended the feud. Later, Jack broke the legal news to Sharon.

A rather perturbed Nicholas once again appeared at Newman's, this time not to see his father or Victoria, but his brother Adam. In no uncertain terms, he made it clear to Adam to stay away from Phyllis and to stop flirting with her. Going into the break room, Nicholas and Victoria ran into each other and talked about Adam some more. Victoria was equally as agitated as Nicholas had been. Victoria had had words with her father about a switch in projects for her, leaving Adam in charge of a project that was entirely Victoria's. She was definitely miffed but still had to accept her father's decision to put her expertise to use somewhere else. Adam, in the meantime made a phone call to Phyllis and told her that he was no longer able to work with her. When Nicholas returned, Phyllis asked him if he did something that initiated a phone call from Adam. Nicholas told her that he had talked with Adam, but Phyllis told Nicholas that she had no problem handling Adam.

A hell-bent Michael ran into Jack who asked that Michael drop the law-suit against him. Michael was not amused.

Victor received some good news when Sabrina entered the office to accept his job office. Kevin and Jana were talking about their wedding, and she was trying to smooth things over so that Gloria could come to their wedding.

While Kyon and Jeffrey were busy on the couch, Gloria was yelling from the basement for someone to let her out. Sneaking past the duo, Alistair slipped downstairs to rescue his fair maiden in the wine cellar. Unfortunately, in his exuberance, he locked himself in, along with Gloria, upon eyeing her and all that wine. She told Alistair that Kyon tricked her and then locked the door on her and left. He then told her that he saw both Jeffrey and Kyon upstairs getting cozy. He surmised that Gloria must have been coerced into marrying Jeffrey but she wouldn't elaborate on the subject. Alistair then managed to pick the lock and the two escaped and went upstairs where she threw Kyon and Jeffrey out of the house. She told him that she would rather go to jail than be married to someone like him. After they left, Gloria sat down and cried.
