Victoria talked to JT about her father and wondered why she hadn't had a call from her him, saying that he was leaving town. She was still a little perturbed at the fact that her brother, Adam was trying to override some of the decisions that were all ready decided by her. When Victor returned from an out of town trip, both siblings acted like children, fighting for their father's attention. Victor asked his daughter her opinion when he suggested that he might consider working with her friend, Sabrina. Victoria was all for it but ex-wife Nikki found the idea questionable.

David tried to convince Nikki that the time was right for them to marry, but she put him off wanting to make sure that he had truly given up gambling. She told him that the stress of so much happening along with a wedding just might make him return to gambling, and she wanted to make sure that he was still going to his meetings. He told her that he was but then when he was alone he ran into one of his former "bookies" that kept pressuring him to get into a game. He managed to refuse all offers from the man but when he later got a call regarding another kind of gambling, he finally gave in and ended up placing a bet. "Just this one time" was his comment to the man on the phone. After the bet had been placed, the man called Brad to tell him that David had given in and placed a bet.

In the Abbott living room, Jeffrey's ex-girlfriend was ranting and raving to him in her native language. Gloria stood there, maybe for the very first time, with her mouth open, saying nothing!!! She then demanded that Jeffrey leave the house for good, and while he laughed at his wife, who was now jealously fuming with smoke about to come out of her ears, Kyon and Jeffrey headed for the club. Once there, Jeffrey tried to explain to her that he was married and was in love with his wife and she did not mean anything to him anymore. Incensed, she demanded money from Jeffrey to leave. In the meantime Gloria was busy telling Jana about her new problems. Jana called them, "a couple in love." When Gloria arrived home, Jeffrey was waiting and asked her if for once and for all they could stop playing games and get to know each other. Then, he asked her out on a real live date.

As Lily tried to relax on the sofa, Cane remained by her side, telling her that if she wasn't feeling well, she should go to the doctor. He brought up the subject of "pregnancy" to her, but she pooh-poohed the idea saying that it just couldn't be. She did agree however, to take a pregnancy test to put their minds at ease. Cane left her apartment and Devon came home and discovered the test in a bag, but didn't say anything to Lily, other than she could talk to him about anything that might be bothering her.
