Young and the Restless Recap: March 21, 2006

Phyllis places a cell phone call to Daniel. She needs him to promise not to leave town. Michael arrives and Phyllis needs her friend to tell her that things are going to be all right.

Sharon comes into the office to see Nicholas. She tells him that the credit card company called, checking on something they found strange. She mentions that it was a receipt from Highway B, Motor Motel, and she had never heard of it.

Jill meets with Ashley about an interview that is scheduled to talk about the new product, and give it some exposure. She hopes it is not going to turn into something that might do more harm than good.

Michael tells Phyllis that she did the right thing by not letting Lily stay at their apartment. It relieves Phyllis to know that, and Michael tells her to just stand her ground, for now.

Victor and Gloria meet a few tables away. He hands Gloria an envelope that contains something that she is very interested in. As she reads it, Michael approaches the table and joins them. He asks them what they are being so secretive about.

Phyllis is trying to leave the restaurant but is stopped by Jack. He tells her that she looks like he is the last person in the world that she wants to see right now.

Victoria meets with Brad. She wants to talk with him about their situation but when he starts to lose his cool, she wonders if it is worth the effort.

Nicholas reminds Sharon, that the motel thing was when he and Phyllis got stuck in the snowstorm and were stranded. She feels foolish that she didn't remember about it. Then she brings up something else. She tells him that she was cleaning, and found this little "monkey" item, and wondered if it was his or Noah's. He tells her that it is his and she comments that it didn't seem like something he would like. She leaves his office and Nicholas tries to reach Phyllis at her office, but she is not in.

Jack tries to talk with Phyllis. After learning about Daniel and Lily, Jack offers Phyllis the opportunity to let Daniel stay at the Abbott home, with him. He will even call Daniel himself if she would like that. She tells him that she would rather do that himself. She calls him one incredible human being.

Victor tells Michael that they are talking business. "How interesting that must be," says Michael. Gloria excuses herself and Victor tells Michael, that he should not underestimate Gloria, that she has a good head on her shoulders. Gloria finds herself being invited to attend the interview, with a little needling toward Jack, to have her there. Victor tells Michael that he was just looking out for her knowing how she is being treated by Jack.

Lily meets with Daniel once again. She tells him that she can't stop thinking about Malcolm. He wouldn't have treated her the way her parents are now.

Nicholas takes a stroll over to Phyllis' office. She tells him that she just came in and he says that he needed to see her.

At the office, Jack tells Ashley and Jill that the meeting he told Gloria about was in one hour and a half. A comment is made that it is in fifteen minutes, and he comments that he must have made a mistake. The interviewer comes in with his cameraman.

Michael asks Victor what he is getting out of helping Gloria? Why has he decided to mentor her himself?

Just before the interview is to start, Gloria walks into the room. A startled Jack, Ashley and Jill all look at themselves in wonderment. Jack did tell Gloria that she could attend, but only if she managed to be an onlooker and not say anything., to which she agreed.

The interview begins with Jill speaking with Jerry, the interviewer. She manages to evade all but the very necessary questions about the product. Ashley is next, and she also evades all but the most pertinent questions about the new product.

Brad tells Victoria that he forgives her. She was totally honest with him. She tells Brad that sometimes one person can be betrayed without evening laying a finger on someone else.

Phyllis tells Nicholas, that Daniel thinks she is scum now, that pretty much tells him how Daniel is feeling. She does tell him that Daniel won't say anything to Sharon or Jack right now, because he is dealing with situations of his own. Nicholas moves in closer to Phyllis and she tells him not to, as Sharon walks into the office. She tells them both that it sounded like they were arguing. Phyllis makes some excuse about the website being down and Nicholas wanted her to work on it, although she was not working for them at the time. She was tired of fixing a problem that she didn't cause.

Daniel and Lily talk some more. Daniel tells her that the reason why her parents are acting like they are, is because they love her. That is why Neil, in particular is being so tough on her. He is just being a good Dad.
