Young and the Restless Recap: February 14, 2008

Victoria was gathering up her belongings as she was moving back into the loft with JT and Reed. Nikki felt it was too soon and that she wouldn't be able to see them as often as she would like, but Victoria reminded her that she would be leaving the ranch at sometime in the future for a life with David. Victoria then wanted to have a serious conversation with her mom, as she asked her to relate all of what happened while she was in a coma. Nikki told her about the differences that came about regarding what to do when a life and death decision had to be made.

Cane called Lily and she made a date with him to meet in an hour. Karen arrived and she chatted for a few minutes before Lily ran off to change her clothes. When she came back out, she was wearing a very sexy red dress as she headed out the door.

Daniel and Amber chatted briefly about their "one-night" stand wondering about the strain that it caused on their friendship. Daniel suggested that maybe they should start to date, but Amber got the wrong idea, thinking that Daniel meant the two of them. He clarified his position by revealing that they should start to date "other" people. The two of them talked about Daniel's new job position and Amber asked him if he would be willing to put in a good word for her, which he said he would do.

Nicholas had a Valentine's day all planned for Phyllis, until she walked out of the bedroom, suffering from what appeared to be a miserable cold. Daniel, who had since arrived at their place, had a Valentine present from Nick and Phyllis as they offered him a job at their company. He accepted the position graciously and then told them about Amber and her designs. When he mentioned that Amber could use the help with the money situation, wanting to focus on her future plans, Phyllis mentioned that Amber was thinking about renting her old penthouse apartment. Daniel was surprised, suddenly wondering where the money was coming from.

Later, Amber was looking over the penthouse apartment, when the realtor told her that her credit was a problem. Amber then brokered a deal saying that she would pay 6 months rent in advance and the deal went through.

Jana sent Amber a Valentine hoping that she would think Daniel sent it. Kevin warned her not to do anything to try and get them together, but when one knows Jana, a word of caution, doesn't matter.

Daniel told Amber that the place she was considering moving into was his mom's place, and wanted to know how she could afford a place like that. Amber related that she had sold some fashion ideas but Daniel questioned her telling the truth, thinking again to the uncomfortable situation now between them.

Cane and Lily met up at the club where he presented her with a box of her favorite candy from non other than Paris. He made a comment about going to Paris sometime, but Lily told him to follow her and led him upstairs to a suite that she had transformed into a "Paris" night. She then cooed at him in French, and he suddenly knew that she wanted to make love, and so they did.

At Indigo, Neil surprised Karen with a very special Valentine. He brought in Pat Benatar and her husband, to help Karen get used to the spotlight, instead of being afraid. Karen then sang for them, and with a few "secrets" that the girls shared, Karen managed to overcome her shyness and sang out like a true pro.
