Young and the Restless Recap: February 14, 2006

From Diane Adams, for About.com

Paul turns over John's coat with the blood stain on it. The DNA testing won't be back for while, but the blood on the coat is the same type as "Terrible Tom's." The DA ends up proving that John has the same blood type as "Terrible Tom" from looking at John's drivers license, so they will have to wait for the DNA results.

Lily calls Daniel on Colleen's cell phone, and tells him that she is going to the dinner dance at the club that night. She tells him that Colleen has agreed to be his date so that the two of them can see each other.

Nicholas arrives at Phyllis' office. He tells her that he is there to see the "monkey's." He tells her that his plans for the evening with Sharon have changed and they are having a family dinner instead. A delivery comes for Phyllis, from the florist. At first, she thinks the flowers are from Nicholas, but he says "no." With the flowers, came a box which Phyllis holds in her hands. Nicholas asks if she is going to open it and when she does, the box contains a small hatchet, with a note, saying, "let's bury it." It is from Jack. Nicholas starts to leave shortly after that, and Phyllis accuses him of being jealous.

The DA sends everyone home, telling them all that he doesn't want to hear from them, until the DNA results come in.

At the club, JT escorts Mac inside. She gives him his Valentine present. It is an MP3 player. JT gives Mac her present. She opens it to find a beautiful bracelet inside.

In another part of the room, Dru, Neil, Devon and Lily arrive. They sit down and Lily starts to look around the room. Dru wants to know why and she is looking for some of her friends. A few minutes later, they turn around to find that Colleen and Daniel are entering. Dru makes it a point to ask Colleen about her date with Daniel. She tells him that they are friends and so it was natural for them to be together. Daniel passes Lily at the bar, and tells her that she looks beautiful, but quickly moves on. Devon sees it and approaches Lily. He wants to know if it bothers her to see Daniel with Colleen? Lily tells him that he can see whoever he wants to see, she doesn't care.

Lauren and Michael arrive back at her boutique. Lauren tells him that he could have ruined their lives, and he can't believe that he went to such depths because of his hatred for "Terrible Tom." She tells him that she saw more of the old Michael then, but she still admired him, because he wanted to do what was right to save Ashley.

At the club, Colleen makes snide remarks to Mac. She compliments her on her bracelet, saying that looked like JT didn't need her help afterall in picking something out even though he was in a panic to find something for her. Colleen reminds her that it was almost as nice as the necklace that JT got her when he had to pawn his guitar for it. Mac tells Colleen that she doesn't appreciate her childish games. Mac warns Colleen not to push her and to stop telling her all the garbage that she is. She tells Colleen that she shouldn't be using Daniel like she is, because he isn't over Lily yet. Colleen counters with the fact that she thought Mac would feel safer if she were dating someone else, instead of worrying about her and JT. Mac tells her that she isn't the least bit worried.

Victor gives Nikki, raw diamonds for Valentine's day and Nicholas returns and gives Sharon a trip to Paris. She gives him tickets for the NCAA final 4 games.

The doorbell rings and Victor answers it to give the bouquet of flowers to Victoria. They are from Brad and include a note that says, "I'm not giving up."

On the dance floor, Mac dances with JT, Devon with Lily and Daniel with Colleen. Colleen is all over Daniel to the point that he asks her what is going on and isn't she laying it on a little heavy?

Mac whispers to JT that she is ready to leave, as she goes for her coat. Colleen immediately goes up to him. Colleen wants to know why they are leaving early, and Mac comes up behind her and tells her that she and JT are going to have some private time with each other. They leave and Colleen mutters to herself, that she better enjoy it while she can.

Jack goes to Phyllis' office, where they share a glass of "bubbly" and bury the hatchet. He tells her that he will always be there for her.
