Young and the Restless Recap: February 12, 2008

While the new business partners were chatting about their ideas, Nikki walked in to see what was up. Nicholas told his mother about his new business venture and while she was happy for him, she was still upset that her divorce caused a rift between Nicholas and his father.

Victoria was telling JT that she wanted to return to work as soon as possible, something he wished she would take her time in doing. Nikki stopped over to tell Victoria that she and David had discussed it and they were trying to decide on a wedding day. Victoria looked a little pensive and felt that her mother shouldn't rush into another marriage quite so soon. Nikki then asked Victoria if she would like to come and work for her at Jabot, but Victoria decided not to do anything that would further divide her parents.

At the farm, a dying Hope was upset at not telling Victor Jr. about his father. She kept telling Victor that she wanted their son to grow up deciding what it was he wanted from life. The boy had put himself through school and was now working at a firm in New York. Victor told her that he understood completely what she was trying to do for their son. A short while later, Victor Jr. (now known as Vic) arrived to find his mother in bed. He also spotted the strange man in the room and asked what was going on. Sitting Vic down for a talk, Hope told him that she was dying of cancer. Seeing Victor in the room, Vic assumed that he was there for some medical reason for his mother, but then he recognized Victor as a prominent businessman. Hope managed weakly to tell Vic that he was named after the man standing before him. They had been friends for many years, including before he was born. She then told her son, that she wanted him to know all about his family, and told him that Victor was his father.

David ran into Jill and announced that he would be working alongside Nikki, as the co=CEO of Jabot. Jill looked on, rather stunned by the announcement. She commented that it appeared that his life seemed to revolve around Nikki's.

David met with the elusive stranger, later, the one who had to be reminded that his name was no longer Clark, but David. He told "Walter" that he would soon be able to pay back his entire loan to him, because he was put into a very high position at a well known company.

Chloe, the new fashion coordinator for Lily was unhappy at the appearance of Lily in one of the dresses she was to wear at a press conference. Chloe commented that it appeared to be too tight and if Lily drank any liquid, she would bloat. Devon happened to be on the side hearing what was going on. He commented to Lily later, that Chloe was wrong about how Lily looked. According to Devon, it appeared to him that this Chloe was sending out all kinds of messages to Lily, none of them good. He later saw Lily looking into a mirror and appraising her figure, and figured that he had been right about Chloe.

Nikki sat David down, and told him that she had just talked with Victoria. Nikki felt that Victoria was not ready yet for another wedding, because she hadn't accepted her divorce from Victor as of yet. Nikki asked David if they could put off setting a date until some future time.
