Young and the Restless Recap: January 10, 2008

As Lauren and Michael were themselves getting ill, not because of drinking, but because they were watching Jeffrey and Gloria make out in public, they decided to make an exit of their own. Michael stopped by their table and told his mother to behave and slow down on the drinks, then left. Gloria getting very tipsy, started to tell Jeffrey about how she had managed to get from nowhere to where she is now. She blamed Jeffrey for wanting to take it all away from her by blackmailing her into marrying him. Later Gloria suggested that they go back to Jeffrey's room, which they did, while she quietly passed out in his bed.

Neil just happened to see the kiss that was shared with Lily and Cane and took the time to tell his daughter that it wasn't good for her to have any feelings for someone like Cane. Lily stood up to her father and told him that she was old enough to make her own decisions even if they weren't the best ones. Devon, Roxanne and her surprise date left for the coffee house with Lily close behind. Oh, guess what happened next? Cane turned up at the coffee house and then asked for a few minutes alone with Lily, as he asked her out on a real date. Amber, manning the coffee house as it's waitress, saw the scene and became saddened and teary-eyed.

Victor and Nicholas were at work when Nicholas suggested that they stop for the evening. Talk afterwards, was from Victor who let his son know that his mother thought he was guilty of killing Ji Min. Nicholas did his best to not get into a discussion about the murder and instead told his father that if he was told that he was innocent, he would believe it. Victor was not satisfied at all. J.T. happened in and Nicholas left, only to have J.T. be the next one who was on the chopping block. Victor fired him for informing Nikki that he was having David investigated!!! After that Victor called his lawyer, Michael and told him to get over to his house immediately. When Michael arrived, Victor insisted that he get more involved with his case or else. Michael told him that he can't do anything if Victor is going to be looking over his shoulder constantly. Michael told Victor that it was his plan to cast doubt over the ever important tape and that would have to do for now. Then he left and returned home where Lauren was waiting to continue with their romantic evening.

Nikki turned up at Phyllis' place because she couldn't sleep and wanted to see the baby. While there, Nikki asked Phyllis to rejoin the NVP team. Nicholas came in and Nikki could see that something was upsetting her son. When she asked if he had seen Victor, the subject was changed and Nikki headed up to see Victor again. She told him that he needed to do some searching inside of himself, before he lost everyone that he cared about. Angering Victor even further, he blurted out that he didn't need a single one of them!!!
