This week, Tad admitted he was starting to fall for Cara, while Jake was torn between Cara and Amanda. Kendall and Griffin both danced around their feelings for each other, despite Tad and Cara’s encouragement. And Jane’s lack of Erica Kane-knowledge nearly tripped her up.
A Tad Eager
Tad admits he has growing feelings for Cara. Griffin thinks Tad is good for his sister and thinks Tad should do something about it, but Tad refuses to push the issue. Jake tells Amanda that he knows she lied about the results of her pregnancy test, but she is surprised when he says he isn’t mad at her. Tad convinces Mackenzie’s father to withdraw his complaint against Cara so she can be reinstated at the hospital. Tad tells Jake that now he can rehire Cara, but Jake worries about how the two of them will handle working together every day. Amanda admits to Tad that she lied to Jake about taking her birth control pills and Tad warns her that she’s only making things worse for herself. But Amanda wonders if she still has a reason to be paranoid about Jake and Cara. Meanwhile, Jake and Cara agree to move on but it’s obvious that there is still something between them. Amanda takes Jake to the park to mark the anniversary of their first wedding proposal. Feeling guilty, Jake recites his vows and kisses Amanda passionately. Jesse tells Tad that he thinks Tad has feelings for Cara. When Tad tells Cara he enlisted Liza’s help to get Griffin probation instead of jail time, she hugs him and Tad kisses her.
A Mother’s Grief
On the day of Sarah’s funeral, Madison requests that only she and Ryan attend the service. Greenlee and Scott are visibly hurt, but hide their feelings for the sake of Ryan and Madison. At the cemetery, Madison breaks down. She tells Ryan she can’t bury their daughter and runs off. Angie comforts Madison and tells her she needs to say goodbye to her child. Madison finds strength in Angie’s words and is able to accompany Ryan to the grave. Scott shows up and tells Madison how he loved Sarah too. Madison sees how genuinely emotional Scott is and takes him to the grave so he can say goodbye. Later, Angie tells Jesse that she can’t help feeling guilty that their baby survived but Madison’s baby died.
Starting Over
Griffin tries to hide his hand injury from Cara and Kendall and has Frankie secretly examine it. Kendall and Bianca talk about her nightmare with Ricky and Kendall apologizes for not being more protective of her sister. Bianca tells Kendall not to let her need for revenge against Ricky take over her life. Greenlee and Ryan confront Ricky in his hospital room and Greenlee slaps him for what he did to Kendall and Zach. Ricky laughs and taunts them by reminding the couple that, since he’s not really a minister, they’re not really married. Ryan tells Greenlee he wants to get married right away, but Greenlee thinks they should wait.
As Ricky is being transferred from the hospital, he and Griffin have it out over Kendall. Ricky accuses Griffin of wanting Kendall for himself. Griffin tells Cara he plans to leave Pine Valley as soon as he can and that Kendall’s place is with her children. Cara goes to Kendall and tells her that Griffin plans to leave town and Kendall may be the only one who can stop him. Kendall can’t admit her feelings to Griffin so she uses Cara as a reason for Griffin to stay. Later, Cara encourages her brother to go after Kendall, who admits to Tad that she does have feelings for Griffin. Kendall tells Griffin that selling the casinos will take longer than they thought.
Jane’s Addiction
David tries to blackmail Jane (fake Erica) into helping him get his medical license reinstated. Since Jane doesn’t know that it was Kendall who shot David, she acts confused. David is suspicious – how could Erica not remember that her daughter shot him? When David catches her drinking and eating fried food – two things Erica Kane would never do – he wants to know what’s going on with her. Jane responds that they’re just responses to all the stress she’s been under lately. Jane quickly covers and agrees to sign whatever letter of recommendation David needs in order to protect Kendall. Later, Jackson tells David that Erica will never help David as long as Jackson has anything to say about it. Jane signs a business deal with Caleb having no idea what she’s doing. David threatens Jane that he will tell Jack that Erica’s drinking again if she doesn’t help him get his medical license back. Jane has an allergic reaction to what is normally Erica’s favorite food. David finds allergy pills prescribed to someone named Jane Campbell.
