Guiding Light Recap: December 23, 2004

Danny and Marina flew to Santo Domingo. Marina confesses to Danny that she lied to her father about where she was going. Danny says that he's going to send her back to Springfield immediately. Marina says that she's not going anywhere.

Michelle pounds on the wall and yells "What is going on out there!!" Michelle's mother appears to her and asks her what the problem is.

Sebastian asks Holly to be his salvation.

Josh and Reva go to the Beacon for supper.  Reva tells Josh that Jonathon ordered a tuxedo. Reva says that he's not going.

Jonathon thinks about when he gave Cassie the wedding gift and she put it in the trash.  Jonathon picks up the package..."tossed in the trash...what else is new."

Gus thinks about Harley and she said "we're back to square one which means that I am the killer."  Beth approaches Gus and tells him that "the killer was found and now it's time to move on."  She tells Gus that most people have found relief that Philip's killer confessed..."but not you. Why is that?"  Gus says that it's because maybe he got to know Ruth a little bit.

Frank comes home and finds Harley sitting in the dining room at Company. Harley tells Frank to cheer up and asks him why he was looking in the window like he was some homeless man.  Harley brings out the toys and tells Frank that he needs to help her wrap. Frank says "What did you do? Buy out the whole toy store?"  Harley said that the boys had a hard year, and they need a good holiday. Frank tells Harley that "Zach just lost his father, and no amount of toys is going to take care of that."

Frank tells Harley that he thinks it's time for people to own up to their actions. "I think that even Philip's life was worth something."  Harley says that Ruth fessed up as the killer and she thinks that Ruth has paid the price.

Cassie tells Reva and Josh that Jonathon is not welcome at Christmas and that Tammy won't be in the same room as Jonathon.  Reva asks her "What about Marah and Shayne?"  Cassie says that they can come to the farm. Cassie tells Reva that "Jonathon has destroyed this family and it's not going to come together anytime soon."

Jonathon prepares to leave the house but the phone rings. He answers it. It's Marah. "We have a lot of catching up to do."

Michelle tells her mother that when she thinks of her she (Michelle) gets all warm inside.  Maureen says "Don't think that I am an angel or anything." Michelle talks about Robbie and how she feels like she has failed him. Maureen says that "I have faith in you and I believe that you are going to show the world what you are made of."

Sebastian tries to get Holly in bed. Holly says "We can't do this."  Sebastian tells Holly how beautiful she is, and they lie on the sofa.  Sebastian tries to take Holly's shirt off, but she stops him. Holly tells Sebastian that she wants him to do something for her.....Sebastian says "anything."  Holly tells Sebastian to release Michelle.

Gus thanks Beth for hanging out with him at the Spaulding company Christmas party.  Beth asks Gus "Do you think that Ruth was not the killer? Do you think that it may have been someone else?"  Beth says that she's just glad that Philip's killer was not someone who was close to them. "I don't know about you, but I am going to move on now, and I suggest that for every one's sake--you do the same."

Frank and Harley talk about previous Christmases. One in particular is when Harley got the scar on her arm.  Harley says "I've still got the scar--look." She shows him.  Frank says that he should have kept a better eye on her. Harley says "Once I get an idea in my head....."  Frank tells Harley that he knows how she is, and he says that he doesn't want her to think that he doesn't love her.  Harley says that she knows that her brother loves her. Frank tells Harley that there is something that he needs to tell her.  Harley hears a noise and tells Frank to hold that thought.
