Guiding Light Recap: December 20, 2004

Harley is dressed as Ruth and she is at the bridge.  Frank shows up and yells at her from afar.  Ruth becomes upset and says "I am not ready for you."  Ruth holds her hands out and says "don't shoot!" She backs away and ends up falling over the side of the bridge.  Gus comes and looks over the side, Frank joins him.  Gus grabs Frank and shakes him---"Do you know what you've done?!" 

Dinah is at the hospital trying to get an appointment to see the doctor. Cassie and Edmund are there as well. Edmund asks Cassie if it's necessary that he stay with her for the appointment.  Cassie tells Edmund that he can go.  Cassie sits down in the waiting room, and Dinah tells her that she's waiting to see the doctor too. Dinah says that she's not feeling well. Cassie asks her if it's fatal.  Dinah tells Cassie that she's pregnant.

Edmund shows up at Reva's.  Jonathon answers the door and tells Edmund that his mother always told him never to let strangers in the house.  Edmund comes in anyway and he informs Jonathon that he knows the he was the one who "torched your parents' house." Jonathon asks him how he knows that. Edmund said that he had a private investigator follow them to San Jamar.  Edmund tells Jonathon that he doesn't want him to show up at their wedding. Jonathon tells Edmund that he doesn't want to go to their wedding and that he has nothing to worry about.  Edmund leaves and Jonathon picks up the phone and calls to order a tuxedo.

Ruth is sitting under the bridge. She sees Gus and tells him that "Ruth is dead." She begs Gus to go with her on this.  Frank and his other officers show up and they are holding the video recorder on which Ruth taped her confession that she was the one who killed Philip.

Frank goes back to the station and releases Buzz. He apologizes to his father for having to take him in. Frank tells Buzz that Ruth is dead, and they found a taped confession from her. Harley arrives and is surprised to learn that Ruth died.  Frank asks an officer to find Ruth's family. The officer says that they've been down that road before and they've not been able to find her family.

Dinah gets her appointment with the doctor and she sits in the waiting room until the results of her tests come back. Dinah daydreams about having quads and rubbing it in to Cassie and Edmund.  The nurse comes out and informs Dinah that she is not pregnant at all.
