Guiding Light Recap: December 17, 2004

Alan tells Olivia that "This is the room that Philip was confined to, and now it is your turn.....you will never walk out that door unless you give me what I want."  Olivia asks him what he wants. Alan says "My grand-daughter Emma."

Cassie had been out for a run, and she has a cramp in her shoulder.  Jonathon sneaks up on her and begins to rub her shoulders.  Cassie thinks that it's Edmund. Jonathon says "Right feeling, wrong guy."  Cassie turns around and shoves Jonathon "Stay the hell away from me!" Reva comes outside of the Beacon and sees the scene.  Cassie tells Reva that "Jonathon put his hands all over me!" Jonathon says that he was only trying to help her because she had a shoulder cramp.

Frank arrests Buzz for the murder of Philip.  Harley tells Gus that "Ruth has to die....I have to save my dad...you have to help me."  Harley says that Buzz is not guilty and "he already thinks that his life is over...he was in there writing his will."  Harley tells Gus that she's already got a plan to save her father.

Reva asks for a moment with Cassie. Jonathon says "Oh good without me here you can turn this into sexual assault." Jonathon leaves and Cassie says to Reva "Now you're going to defend him." Reva says that she's not going to do that but she does realize that what he did was wrong.

Billy tells Josh that he's in a lot of trouble.  Billy says that he has some information that may get Buzz off the hook. Josh tells Bill about his run in with Ruth Karloff.

Alan tells Olivia that Bill Lewis is not going to adopt Emma.  Olivia says "Bill wants to adopt Emma?" Alan says that he's not going to happen. "you will give me what I want or I will take it....those are your choices."  Alan leaves and Olivia is locked in the room. 

Olivia decides that she will give Alan what he wants so that she can get out of the psych ward.  She goes over what she's going to say to Bill about why she doesn't want him to adopt Emma. Alan says "you've got to be more convincing than that."  They agree upon what Olivia will say to Bill and then they both head for the door. A nurse is waiting there, and Alan throws Olivia on the bed and holds her down while the nurse gives her a tranquilizer.  "You need to sleep for a while Olivia...sweet dreams." Alan says.

Reva tells Jonathon that Cassie doesn't want him to come to her wedding. Jonathon says "she doesn't want me to go to her wedding? Did you tell her to go to hell?"  Reva says that she agreed with Cassie this time.

Gus tells Harley that she's losing it and that he is not going to help her with her plan. "Did you ever think about what might happen to you if you put your Ruth fat suit on?"  Gus tells her that he can't help her this time.  Gus gets a call and says that he's going to the station. He tells Harley to come with him to the station. Harley says that she's not going with him. Gus says "promise me that you're not going to do anything crazy." He tells Harley that he cares about her and he wants her to think about what she is doing.

Cassie tells Josh that she told Reva that she doesn't want Jonathon to be at her wedding. "I just can't stand the thought of him being there when Edmund and I exchange vows."

Cassie asks Reva how things went with Jonathon. Reva says that Jonathon understands that he can't go to the wedding. Cassie asks Reva to be her Matron of honor. Reva accepts. Cassie leaves, and finds Jonathon outside the Beacon. He presents her with a wedding gift. Cassie is reluctant to take it, but Jonathon puts it in her hands. He tells Cassie that he's trying to figure out how to put their problems behind them. He wishes her a happy wedding and Cassie thanks him.  Jonathon leaves and Cassie throws the package in the trash.

Ruth is at the bridge and is setting up for her final show. Gus is at the station with Buzz.  Buzz asks where Harley is. Gus says that she went home and is with her boys.  Gus goes out into the station and all the policemen are on the move.  He asks Frank what's going on.  Frank says that Ruth was spotted on the bridge and they have to nab her before she gets away again. Gus says that he wants to go along. Frank tells Gus to stay at the station with Buzz.  Billy shows up at the police station to also offer a confession to the murder of Philip.

Jonathon finds the wedding gift that he gave to Cassie in the trash.  He picks it up from the trash and takes it home with him.

Ruth is on the bridge. Frank calls out to her and tells her not to move: "Stop or I will fire!"  Gus yells "Frank! NO!" Ruth is upset and she is not sure what to do. She holds her hands out and yells "don't shoot!"  Ruth falls over the side of the bridge.
