Guiding Light Recap: November 24, 2004

From MMWAP, for About.com

Tony presents Michelle with an exotic flower that he picked for her and wishes her a Happy Thanksgiving.

Tammy is at Farley's bar. She thinks that she's meeting Sandy there, but Edmund shows up instead. Tammy is angry that he's there. Tammy tells Edmund that she's not going home, and that she does not want to see him. Dinah shows up and says that she wants to talk to Tammy.

Jeffrey goes to Cassie's bearing a pumpkin pie.  He asks her where everyone is, and offers to stay with her until her family arrives for the holiday meal. Jeffrey tells Cassie: "and if you want, you can tell me what your problem is."

Alexandra tells Alan that she knows nothing about Philip's death. Gus tells Alan that he seems to be vengeful and picked up where Philip left off. Alex seems to think that Gus can get through to Alan. Gus approaches Alan and tries to talk with him. Alan says that he is not in the mood for chit-chat. Alan tells Gus that the only justice that will be served in Philip's death is the "justice that I give out."

The Coopers prepare their table for Thanksgiving.  They discuss their new boss "Lizard Spaulding" (according to Coop).  Harley asks if there's any new developments in Philip's shooting. Frank says that he feels the person who killed Philip was closer to home and not the original suspect (Ruth).

Cassie tells Jeffrey that she just wants Tammy to come home and that she is very upset over that.  Jeffrey tells Cassie that she needs to give Tammy some time and she will come home again.

Dinah tells Tammy that she knows what it's like to be judged, hated and "to loathe yourself so much that you hate to look in the mirror."  Dinah tells Tammy that she shouldn't let Jonathon take over her life and keep her from her family--"no matter how much Jonathon hates his."

Beth and Lillian discuss Lizzie. They are both worried about her. Lizzie poses the possibility that Lizzie could have shot Philip.

Alan says that he may join the family at dinner. Gus says that he is the one who should be upset because Philip was the one who left him a billion dollar company to run, and "I don't even know how to run that thing." Gus reminds Alan that "I am your son too. I need you here, and we have to go on together."

Danny, Robbie, Ross, Blake, and Rick join the Coopers for dinner. Rick tells Harley that he and Mel had a fight.

Tony tells Michelle that no matter where they are, he is thankful to be with her.

Edmund brings Tammy home. Cassie is glad to see Tammy and invites her in. Tammy tells Cassie that "Just because I am here does not mean that I am staying and it doesn't mean that things are OK." Cassie thanks Edmund for bringing Tammy home for Thanksgiving. Edmund tells Cassie that he didn't do it alone and that he had help.

Alan wishes everyone a "bon appetite." Gus says it's Thanksgiving...."aren't you going to say a prayer or something?"  Beth tells Gus that was something that Philip always did.  Beth offers for Gus to say the blessing. Gus says that he doesn't really know how to do that, but there was something that his father (Mr. Aitoro) used to do each Thanksgiving.  "Maybe we can do it here."  Gus stands and sings "America the Beautiful" and everyone joins in singing with him.
