Guiding Light Recap: November 15, 2004

Edmund picks Cassie up from the floor. Jeffrey comes to help, but Edmund tells him to get away. A woman approaches and says that she's a doctor and wants to help. Cassie says she's not going to the hospital. Edmund asks the doctor to examine her upstairs.  Dinah tells Jeffrey "a few feet closer, and she would have landed in your arms."

Alan can't believe that Philip is dead. "He was alive when we brought him in here. The paramedics said that he was stable when we got here." The doctor tells Alan that they did everything they could for him but he never regained consciousness.  Olivia asks "What about my baby?"  Alan looks at Olivia and says "Philip is dead. And maybe it's your fault."

Gus asks Harley where she was this evening.  Harley tells Gus that she thought if she got dressed up as Ruth and found Philip then he would tell her where the children were.  Gus notices that there's blood on Harley's hands. Harley tells Gus that she fell and her head is bleeding. Harley tells Gus about her encounter with Philip at Company and that he pulled her wig off and they fought each other and Philip urged her to go ahead and shoot him and he handed her his gun. Gus asks Harley if she shot Philip. Harley says that she doesn't know.

Frank tells Alan that he's sorry for his loss. Alan says "I don't want your sympathy...arrest her and ask her where she was this evening prior to 9p.m." Olivia tells the group that they were all supposed to meet Philip at 9 and he had the same secret deal made with everyone.

Rick asks Frank how Harley is going to tell Zach about Philip. Frank tells Rick that he doesn't think that Harley even knows what happened yet.

Jeffrey goes after Dinah for dropping a bombshell about meeting Edmund when she came to town. Jeffrey accuses her of using Edmund to torment Cassie. Jeffrey says that he wants to know everything  she told Edmund.

The doctor tells Edmund that she did an examination of Cassie and stress was not the reason that she fainted.  Edmund asks why then did Cassie faint. Cassie pipes in that she had a miscarriage. Edmund is shocked to hear the news.  The doctor leaves to let Edmund and Cassie alone. She goes downstairs and heads out, but Jeffrey stops her and asks what is going on with Cassie.  The doctor tells Jeffrey that Cassie is fine and that she has had a miscarriage.  Dinah overhears and after the doctor leaves, Dinah says "You're acting like it was yours."

Lizzie asks Alan and Beth "what do we do now?"  Alan says that they pull together and try to get through. Rick says that he's sorry about Philip's death.  Alan says "You're not sorry at all."

Gus tries to find out from Harley what happened when she saw Philip.  Gus says "this is not a good thing." Harley says that she knows that she agrees with him.

Bill assures Olivia that they are going to find Emma. Olivia asks him how they are going to do that. They argue about Philip and how they kept things quiet from each other. Olivia says that this whole thing is going to get ugly once the police start looking into Philip's death.

Rick tells Alan "You're right, I am not sorry that the best friend that I ever had in my life died in the prime of his life.  YOU'RE AN IDIOT!"  Alan tells Rick that he deserted Philip when he needed him.  Rick says "He took my son!"  Rick begins to cry.
