Guiding Light Recap: October 14, 2004

Philip tells Coop that he's not going to send him to jail.  He says that Coop is going to work for Philip to make restitution for the damage that he has done to the Spaulding property. Coop begs Frank to take him to jail instead of working for Philip.

Bill proposes to Olivia. Olivia isn't sure that she wants to do that. Alex tells Olivia that if she doesn't accept Bill's proposal then she will.

Ruth meets with Gus.  Ruth avoids making eye contact with Gus and this is upsetting to him. Gus asks her if she has anything to hide.  Ruth tells Gus that he she doesn't like him. Gus says "you barely know me." Ruth tells him that she knows his type.  Gus and Ruth argue and when she leaves, Gus calls Philip and tells him that this Ruth is a piece of work.

Jeffrey comes to the jail and he marries Bill and Olivia. Alexandra was the "maid of dishonor" and after the ceremony, Olivia was freed from jail.

JB lurks in the shadows at the hospital watching every move that Reva makes. He sneaks into Sandy's room.  Sandy opens his eyes, and JB says "HEERRRE'S JOHNNY!"  JB tells Sandy that he has to make Reva believe that Sandy murdered Jonathon and that he has a few other things to take care of before he can have Sandy "wake up."  JB pushes Sandy's morphine drip so that he goes back to sleep.

Reva talks to Sandy. She asks him to wake up so that he can tell her what is going on.  Billy arrives at the hospital and he tells Reva that she's being released and that she can go home. Reva's cell phone rings. She answers it and it's JB disguising his voice. He tells Reva that he was a friend of Sandy's.  He talks about Sandy and his friend Jonathon.  He goes on to tell Reva that they both left school several years ago and no one has heard anything about either Sandy or Jonathon since she called the school and left word about Sandy's accident.

Billy and Reva leave Sandy's room and are sitting in a waiting area.  Billy tells Reva that Olivia has purchased the building that houses Lewis Construction and that he just isn't too thrilled with the "business partnership" that Olivia and young Bill have.  Reva asks Billy what he's done. Billy tells Reva that Olivia is being deported back to her country. "For all they know, it's Philip's doing."

Harley goes to Towers and meets Bill and Olivia. They tell her the "good news". Harley says that they all have to make sacrifices for the cause.  Olivia goes to get drinks, and Harley asks Bill if he's lost his mind.

Billy comes into Towers and sees Olivia. He asks her why she's not in jail or else on a plane out of the US. Olivia informs Billy that he is now her father-in-law. Billy is shocked that his plan did not work. He asks Bill if the only reason they got married was because of the INS thing.  Bill says that his marrying Olivia was the trump card to Philip.

Harley is preparing to leave Towers. Gus gets off the elevator.  He approaches Harley and tries to talk to her. She tells him that she has other business to attend to and that's she's on her way out.

Jeffrey visits Reva at the hospital. Reva tells Jeffrey that she needs his help. Reva gives Jeffrey the laptop that belongs to Sandy.  JB is watching from outside Sandy's room. He says "No matter what I do, you always choose him."  JB takes out his cell phone and calls Tammy. He tells her that he needs her.
