Hey guys-- MAN!! The show was clicking along this week.. I had an especially hard time making sure I had not forgotten anything while I was writing it!! Hopefully I'll be able to do the show justice this week :) With that said, grab your favorite beverage and let's dive right in!!
GRAVES-- Kay, Simone and Tabitha. So let me get this straight-- the writers go to all the trouble to give the three chickas scenes this week, and their job is to basically stare at Paloma shakin' her groove thang?? All righty then!! As if Kay and Simone are nasty looking lepers.. those chickas are some hot women-- give these girls some action with the bar. Some interaction at least!! Ohh-- and they get arrested? FOR WHAT?!?!?!? This was complete bull. They got arrested for being present at a bar fight? That happened BEFORE the police got there? HELLO-- Human Rights Violation (thank you Pheebs).. this was complete madness. THAT-- and the fact that IF Kay has actually been arrested, how come we didn't see Kat and Simone and Kay and Tabby bonding?? And why wouldn't Sam go to visit his baby girl in jail, oh yeah-- he was too busy re-arresting Katherine.
GRAVES-- KaMart. Once again-- I am *sick* of listening to these two regurgitate the past 25 years. How in the world did they ever fall in love with each other? They were *far* too busy reliving the past to make any new memories. Katherine's haircut was gawd-awful, I'm sorry to say. Looks like she got her hair cut by the late, great Ray Charles (no disrespect, guys!!). One brief shining moment when she was reminiscing with Sheridan over the loss of a child. This was touching-- UNTIL I remembered that Katherine is being the ultimate *witch* by not telling Sheridan the truth about who she is. Especially when Katherine can see that Sheridan's heart is still breaking over the loss of her mother. Martin's miniscule scenes with Luis were good, but only because they were so short. Bring on the butt-whooping that Luis and Pilar are gonna hand this SCHMUCK!! I can't wait for that. Til then-- there's always the FF button.
RUH-GRAVES-- Sheridan and Luis. I'm torn about 50/50 on these scenes. That's why they're getting both TOASTED AND ROASTED (hmm-- how about that for a new breakdown in the column?!?) this week. Sheridan's memories of being kidnapped, and having her child taken away, then supposedly killed was very touching. But at the same time, I am so sick of having to watch Sheridan "think there is a connection with Martin", then ridicule herself for it. Luis is a chump, too. Kissing Beth's bootie for "understanding" the situation with Sheridan. That crazy witch stole your baby, you doof!! Stop being so nice to her!! Either expose the truth or don't, JER. Please stop torturing us.
GRAVES-- Beth. Oh brother. The wicked witch of the Prison East is back, and I have to say-- I have not missed her. It is no secret on this board that I despise Beth, and I don't really care for her portrayal by Kelli McCarty. I know that Beth is supposed to be evil personified, but the problem is-- JER has had her evil for NO reason for so long (and don't even try to sell me that "Luis broke her heart" crizzap-- cuz you KNOW I ain't buying) and now she has just gone over the bend. Lemme get this straight-- since the kidnapping was so long ago, and since Alistair helped her, and since nobody has caught her yet-- Beth has deluded herself into thinking that Martin really is her son (by default-- I guess). Crazy witch. She drives me nuts, and I wish JER would expose her, then have Sheridan kill her in a rage. Beth is a waste of screen.
RAVES-- Mrs. Wallace. I've missed the old bat. She's insane-- but she cracks those one liners like nobody's business. And they were drinking MarTimmies!!! Awwww! AND-- Mrs. Wallace gets the thumbs up for the fact that she brought Martin down after Beth tried to weasel her way out of it. WHHHEEEEEEE!!!
GRAVES-- Gwen. Everyone around here knows that as much as I loathe the character of Gwen, you all know that I truly gave her props during Sarah's death in LA. This was Liza at her finest. Unfortunately-- I think Liza got too worn out with all that grief. Her worry this week at the insistence that the twins were in trouble didn't even smack to me like she cared. There was a *hint* of a worried voice in her words, but no tears, no nothing. Truly a product of JER's ridiculous writing. We all know that JER is gonna take this baby away from Gwen as well, and I just don't see why we have to suffer through YET another miscarriage/stillbirth/whatever. I saw that last summer-- and it was *much* better. Sorry, Liza-- JER's wasting your talent.. AGAIN!!
