Number TWO-- Chad is the long-lost child of Eve and Julian. I will NEVER stop beating this horse. NEVER!! In the early days of the show-- I totally believed he could be the child. Only because on television, all the pieces fit. Mixed race child, father a racist (remember the way Julian WAS ORIGINALLY WRITTEN, people :), etc, etc. Totally fit. Only one problem. When they did the original DNA test-- We heard Eve say that her child was born in Boston. From DAY ONE-- the show has maintained that CHAD was born in Harmony. That's strike one. Strike two is Chad's age. When Chad came to Harmony-- he was sold as straight out of high school, looking for his parents-- and he was the same age as Whitney. That's why they paired him with her. BECAUSE SIMONE WAS TOO YOUNG. Chad said it. If Chad is the EVIAN child-- he would have to be several years older than Ethan. Julian married Ivy LONG AFTER his and Eve's child was born and supposedly died-- Meaning Chad's age was wrong. They have never AGED Chad. NEVER!! He is supposedly still Whitney's age-- and the show would never pass up an opportunity to show the age difference-- Because it would have to be 10 years at least. And Strike Three is hooking Chad and Whitney up. I don't buy JER's interviews for a second. "Incest is the new divorce, I felt the need to push the boundaries, etc." I think JER is lying. Plain and simple. I think he's lying about the incest story being legit. I think as soon as he starts losing funding (because we all know that he doesn't care about LOSING VIEWERS!!), he'll retract and say that he made those promises in interviews to further the storyline, but that his plan all along was to make the story a plan of Alistair's to punish Eve and Julian. The story is complete BULL!!

Number ONE-- Okay, Martin is a big old DAWG and he deserted his wife and five children-- but here lies the rub. In flashbacks of when KaMart left Harmony-- Julian is a teenager and Sheridan a child. BUT-- Paloma is chillin' in the cottage with the family. HELLO?!?! Ethan and Sheridan are supposed to be like, 2 years apart.. and Ethan is CERTAINLY supposed to be like, 10 years older than Paloma.. Ethan should be in the flashbacks. When Katherine left, Julian should have already been married to Ivy. Shoot-- according to the history thus far, the only children that Pilar had by the time Katherine SHOULD have left (judging by the age of Julian).. would be Antonio and Luis. Theresa, Miguel and Paloma are YOUNGER THAN ETHAN!! Theresa was so much younger than Ethan, she was a senior the year the show started, and Ethan was already a lawyer.. putting Ethan's age at approximately 24-25 to Theresa's 18. Meaning that onset of the show-- Paloma was about 14 years old. FAR TOO YOUNG to fit into the "25 years ago" scenario that they are trying to push onto us. BOO to the writers, BOO!! Did they actually think we wouldn't put that together??

No best and worst this week-- the whole show has gone downhill-- hopefully with Justin's return this week-- things will improve. I'll at least want to write the column in all its glory next week.

My RANT OF THE WEEK-- Paloma. When she was cornered by Alistair-- this was ridiculous. Paloma actually buying that somehow Pilar and Theresa have been living in this house, FOR A LONG TIME?? Bull. Paloma KNOWS that the family's home was taken away-- and we ALL know that Paloma knew when Theresa built the new house with the Crane money, because Theresa gave it to Pilar for Christmas, and the ENTIRE family called Paloma on the phone and they sang Christmas Carols in Spanish. Paloma *should* know the original house burned down when Psycho Kay set it on fire. She should know darn well the struggles her family has faced. She KNOWS that Pilar just got out of the hospital-- yet we see her slurping up Alistair's syrupy lies that Pilar has been living there for a while. The writers don't need to push Paloma further away from her family. They have enough antagonists for the Lopez-Fitzgerald family without adding Paloma. They already tried to push Antonio as the antagonist and IT FAILED, that's why Christopher Douglas left. The actress that portrays Paloma has a lot of talent-- and this is ridiculous that they will push this ridiculous story on her. They should have brought her on as an ally for Theresa. Paloma and Theresa against the Hotchwitches. But nope-- the writers SCREW up yet another possibility.
