WWHHHHEEEEEE!!! Guess whose antibiotics and drugs galore have kicked in and who's feeling MIGHTY FINE these days? That would be your old pal, Cens-- and I am all FIRED up to rant and rave about our favorite show. Grab a beverage and pull up a chair, because this is gonna be long-- 'cuz everyone's favorite "Censor" feels a RANT COMING ON!!
GRAVES-- Chad. I'm sorry guys-- I know everyone has been raving about Charles Divins' performance on the show-- but I gotta disagree. On my little bitty pinky toe I can understand Chad's inclination to comfort Whitney after the big news broke. ON THE REST OF MY ENTIRE BODY-- Can I get a HUGE COLLECTIVE EEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!! This is so unbelievably NASTY!! I cannot believe that JER even had the gall to go there. Now-- I personally, do not believe for one iota of a nanosecond that these two are related.. but for now-- that's the pill JER wants us to swallow. Chad should have been feeling the exact same way that Whitney was (this explanation to come later).. with the full-on OOKY factor that would be associated with the realization that you have been schtupping your sister for 2 1/2 years. EEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!
RAVES-- Chad. For one glistening moment. When Chad said, "I don't want you to be my parents-- I WANT WHITNEY." My eyes teared up and a lone tear fell down my cheek. And then-- I went right back to the EEEEWWWWWWW factor. (shudders)
RAVES-- Whitney. I KNOW!! Shock of shocks. I've been ripping Whitney since they got back from LA-- but Brook's work this week was RIGHT ON!! She is appropriately disgusted by the fallout. Of course-- she is also holding the ULTIMATE trump-eww card. That she is preggers. If the rumors I am hearing are true-- I'll be dissing Whitney soon enough. But for now-- her reaction is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! She portrayed the disgust, upset, disbelief, anger, rage TO A TEE! And believe it or not-- did anyone notice that we went AN ENTIRE WEEK without Psychotney over there slapping Eve?? YIPPEE!!
RUH-GRAVES-- Eve and Julian. Their actions this week were just substandard. I understand the need to comfort their children, etc-- but the truth is-- how in the world are Tracy and Ben *SUPPOSED* to know how to react to this? By stocking up on Jerry Springer tapes? I think not. Their substandard portrayals this week are ultimately JER's fault. They can only act what they are given-- and with such an unbelievably UNREALISTIC storyline-- the only place that blame can be put-- IS AT JER'S feet.
RAVES-- Paloma. The girl showed her moxie this week. I could have dealt without the "Don't mess with the L-F's", etc lines-- but for the most part-- we finally got to see Paloma as a strong woman-- and not the whiny brat she has been playing for months now. She was pretty good this week. Maybe the first time I have ever approved of her portrayal in the eyes of the writers.
GRAVES-- The writers. Okay-- let me get this straight-- Martin, Katherine AND Sheridan couldn't get into the tomb-- couldn't even pick up one of the rocks-- but mighty Paloma can? Give me a flippin' break.
RAVES-- The SHUIS reunion. Yes-- I am a SUCKER. This was great. Their embrace was wonderful, and worthy of the accolades that accompanied Sheridan's first "death" and the SHUIS reunion in the church on Christmas Eve. I thought this was great-- and played to perfection. That said-- I'm sure the writers will muck this up, too.
