Ahh, she's back!! The rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated! I actually was going to try to get a column up this weekend.. but time did not permit.
Life's been pretty hectic, and I was pulling down crazy weeks at work, so the balance was just off.
Nevertheless I *have* been watching the show, and I'll try to get to as much of it as I can. *dips toes in the water*.. ahh screw it.. *Censor dives right in*.
GRAVES-- Simone. What the flying fig is Passions doing? Let's try to alienate EVERY single possible sect of people everywhere? Simone being a lesbian is about as believable as Gwen actually being sorry that she didn't stop Theresa's rape. This is bull-honkey. And what the hizell is up with Simone being with a woman who is probably twice her age? This is such crap. And I don't even buy her sobbing to Eve about what her "girlfriend" did to her? Puh-leeze. This storyline blows, Simone should have died in the tsunami just to free up screen time. If JER was gonna do a lesbian storyline, he should have taken some notes from AMC and modeled her after Bianca. We all know Passions steals their ideas from everyone else, why couldn't they steal a good one for once??
GRAVES-- Eve. She chooses TC? To save her family? I don't buy this bupkis for a second. Eve was 10 times the woman she EVER was with Julian than the shadow of a shell she was with TC. Ridiculous. This was all to upstage Liz? To get her off to the side, and get her off front-burner? Liz should have been killed by the wires that Fancy and Noah got burned by.
RUH-GRAVES-- Fancy and Noah. I am digging them. I hate the shades of Sheridan and Luis, but I am crossing my fingers like mad that JER does the right thing. I read from spoilers that Fancy may choose to abandon the Crane name and money for true love. Which is something Sheridan never did. While she knew how miserable the Cranes had made his family, she never truly cut ties and set out on her own. Maybe Fancy will.
GRAVES-- Fox and Kay. Okay, let's all be honest-- Fox and Kay are the "designer imposters" version of THEROX. That said, there is some semblance of potential. And I kind of like the idea of Fox hanging out near his half-sister, Endora. Fox and Kay are definitely falling prey to the rich boy/poor girl syndrome that plagues this show. But that said, Heidi is a gentler Kay than Deanna was. Although Deanna was my all-time favorite Kay. This pairing has potential. If for no other reason than to soften the blow of losing Miles for Fox.
