Censor's Passions Commentary - April 04, 2005From Censor *Censor skids in the door*.. I know you guys are probably sick of hearing that I'm late.. but today-- I have a good reason! My TIVO screwed up, and the technician didn't come until today, so I hadn't had a chance to watch Friday's episode until this morning. So here we are.. the show was pretty decent this week, I even found myself *NOT* fast-forwarding thru all the SHUIS scenes. So, grab your favorite beverage, and let's get started.
GRAVES-- Martin and Pilar. It was absolutely disgusting to see Pilar waiting on Martin hand and foot, cooking him breakfast, ironing his shirt and talking about "being a family again." I will never understand why Pilar gave this ZERO another chance. She should have run like hizell when he returned. She should have asked for pain and suffering during their divorce hearing.. and taken every penny that Katherine had locked away while Kat slept with the man who deserted his family. This is NASTY. RAVES-- Ethan. I *CANNOT* believe that I am typing these words. But Ethan actually had a good point this week when he was talking to Theresa in Pilar's house. Theresa refusing to give Martin another chance is a very realistic stance for her to take, but Ethan was actually right for a change. When he told Theresa how did she expect other people to forgive her for her "outrageous actions" (and we *all* know that she has had a few-- that's why I love her) when she can't find the forgiveness herself.. he was absolutely right. GRAVES-- Whitney. What a selfish witch. I had a little bit of hope when she was about to tell Chad, but once again-- she gets scared off and decides that she "is going to take this all on herself". As if she got herself pregnant. She has no right to keep this information from Chad, and I will continue to harp on this until that ungrateful witch with a B tells the truth. RAVES-- Fox. Oh my gawd!! It has been entirely too long since I saw Fox dripping wet from exiting a pool. I'd forgotten how nice it was. That said, Fox is obviously putting on an act. The question is-- who is he acting for? Is it for Alistair, since Fox knows that Alistair wouldn't hesitate to kill one of his own family to justify his means *and* Fox knows that Alistair is watching their every move.. OR is he lying to Gwen and going along with the "rescue story" so that Gwen won't grab the nearest butcher knife and stab him, too. Because if Gwen knew that Fox's intent was to grab her and Jane so that Theresa got her daughter back, and Gwen faced the charges that are against her-- she'd go nutso ONCE AGAIN. My personal opinion is the latter.. I don't think that Fox wants Gwen to know the truth, because if she *did*.. it'd be THAT much harder to get her back to Harmony. GRAVES-- Julian and Sheridan. I'm sorry, guys. I think I liked them better when they were at each other's throats. Spunky Sheridan and Jealous Julian made for much more interesting television than Spineless Sheridan and Jelly-Belly Julian. They've both lost ALL their moxie and I'm sick of it. I want some fire, I want some heat behind their lines. And GOSH DARN IT-- JER needs to do something for us, at least for ONCE. GRAVES-- Beth. UGH. Beth is gonna kill Sheridan with Alistair's help? I don't even understand this. She told Edna that she was going to succeed this time because she "was going to have Alistair's help this time." Umm, hello-- Alistair helped you last time, and Sheridan *still* didn't die!! Give up, Beth. Dig up who your daddy is and find another direction for your life.. and STOP with this obsession with killing Sheridan. |
