Censor's Passions Commentary - February 06, 2005From Censor Hey guys-- Censor is here and ready to spew!! The show bordered on fantastic this week.. not that it was fantastic because things were resolved or anything-- but because the storylines are just getting very interesting.. at least some of them!! So, grab your favorite beverage and let's get going.
GRAVES-- Jessica. Okay, so she spent the ENTIRE week waxing poetic about the fact that Paloma might have been raped, and how horrible it would be if something like that happened to her, Simone or Kay.. blah blah blah.. then-- she sneaks up to her room, and then climbs down the trellis dressed as a solid gold dancer?? What is this? JER could have written this a little better. WHY would Jessica go out when Paloma just barely woke up from her attack? This was just dumb-- and I hear from spoilers that it gets even dumber. Spoilers that I read at Coffeerooms.com say that Jessica AND Paloma "hizzoe" it up and head back out on the town in just a few weeks. What morons. GRAVES-- Katherine and Martin. WHY are these people on the show? WHY were they brought back? What's the point? All they do is stand in the corner and hold each other, tormenting Pilar and her family as they whine "we don't mean to hurt people." AARRRGGGGHH!! This is insane. Why haven't they addressed the fact that Martin should NOT be calling Katherine his wife? SHE IS NOT HIS WIFE. Not legally, not spiritually-- NOTHING. He is married to PILAR. Martin is such scuzz.. and Katherine is no better. GRAVES-- Sheridan. What is up with the Stepford wife routine? Why can't they give me a better spunky Sheridan? A la the times when she and Luis were facing off in the beginning of the show? Her comment of "my mother has no place in our lives or the lives of our children" was completely out of place. I do NOT want to see Sheridan bowing down to Luis's every whim-- that was my biggest problem with her and Antonio. If Sheridan wants to shut her mother out-- by all means, I'll support her because Katherine deserves it. That said, she should do it of her own volition, not because she's afraid to lose Luis. GRAVES-- Paloma. I'll praise Silviana for her performance this week when identifying her attacker. It was absolutely breathtaking and had me in tears. Silviana is a wonderful find. That said, Paloma is a SNIVELING BRAT! She awakes from her mini-coma to her mother in tears, holding her hand, praying for her (Paloma) to wake up.. and the FIRST thing she does is pull away? Tacky wench. That woman gave you LIFE, you ungrateful twit. She was in the room, waiting at your bedside.. Katherine was over in the corner, hiding like the trollop she is. GROW UP, Paloma. And accept the reality of the situation-- the ONLY friggin reason that you were sent away was BECAUSE your father deserted your mother. Give it up, and spare us the story of how "he was always there for you".. just SHUT.UP.ALREADY. Martin is less of a man than little Ethan. If he were a real man, he would have admitted he was your father years ago. RAVES-- Pilar. This poor woman. How much more does she have to take? Literally. First, one of her daughters is paralyzed by a psychotic, scalpel wielding freak, then her scumbag of a husband coddles his mistress RIGHT in front of her face, then Paloma is attacked-- and NOW her grandbaby is kidnapped by earlier mentioned psychotic, scalpel wielding freak? Good GAWD. This poor woman. Eva shines through it and will continue to do so. I just hope that JER doesn't make her sick again.. This family NEEDS its matriarch. The Lopez-Fitzgerald family does not spin without that woman. GO PILAR! Raves-- Luis. For doing things by the book. Well, sort of. I don't know many detectives who bring the perpetrator to their victim's hospital rooms for identification purposes. BUT-- in hindsight, watching the way Luis has handled his family's problems in his past, (READ: WITH HIS FISTS) it was nice to see Luis handle things with a modicum of decency. He arrested the guy and prevented Martin from beating the guy up. Maybe we've seen the last of Luis's temper? I highly doubt it. But I certainly hope that the rumblings on the internet are false!!! Galen leaving?? I can't even wrap my brain around it. Here's hoping it is just the typical contract renewal discussions and that Galen is here to stay! |
