Okay, the column is gonna be a little shorter this week.. your poor Censor is cutting TWO, count them-- TWO wisdom teeth this week and I am in some massive amounts of pain. And lovely for me-- my insurance won't pay to have them pulled, because "they are growing in straight and there is plenty of room for them to grow in, so it's not medically necessary." So I am currently drugging myself through the pain til they cut. I have already cut the other two, so I know it'll take about a week-- so hopefully by next column, I'll be all better. With that said, let's dig in. *gulps down a painkiller*
GRAVES-- Alistair. Lemme get this straight-- he was just at freakin' death's door, and now he's trying to rape Katherine? Why does JER insist on giving us constant reminders of just how *evil* Alistair is? We get it, JER-- Alistair is bad. Drives me crazy-- just get on with the storyline. Let's see Kat file for divorce and drag all Alistair's dirty deeds into the open. This storyline just gives me the heebie-jeebies. It's completely unnecessary. GRAVES-- Liz. Once again, Liz suffers at the hands of JER's poor writing. Liz's organs were failing-- yet she suited up and headed to the police station while Eve was booked? Gimme a friggin' break. This is insane. Jeez, JER-- we get it, Liz hates Eve. I can't believe that Liz would lie about this. I honestly am. What good does it serve Liz for Eve to be rotting away in jail or even dying in the gas chamber?? If Eve dies or goes away for the next 30 years, what is Liz going to do with her time? It just doesn't make any sense. Liz said that she wanted to see Eve stripped of her medical license, then that would mean that Eve "had nothing left".. but with Eve in the slammer-- Liz can't even savor the victory if she can't rub it in Eve's nose. Good GAWD, JER-- why couldn't you just have let her DIE! Would have let Liz go out on the good high-- with TC accusing Eve of Liz's death.. with Liz still alive, eventually TC is gonna figure out that Eve didn't do it-- and then Liz will lose everything. Hey-- wait a second-- maybe it *is* a good thing that Liz is alive. (smirks) GRAVES-- Poison in the hospital. I meant to put this in the column last week, but I got off on my diatribe about the feud with Gwen and Theresa (as usual). But WHY in the FREAKIN' world would a hospital be stocking poison? Isn't this the usual place where the writers insert mysterious drug/ailment?? (Pilar's mysterious blood disease, Antonio's brain disorder??) This is just BAD writing. The hospital would NOT be stocking poison. End of discussion. RAVES-- Julian. I loved his, "I hired you to defend the love of my life, not my wife." This was classic and a small return to the sassiness of the old Julian. Just a small one. Julian is going to the wall for his lady love. And while I miss the old snarky Julian-- if I want happiness to come to my own personal favorite characters, then I have to accept that in order for Julian to get his true love, he had to lose his edge.
