Katie, Brooke and Storm talked about what should be done to help their father. Stephen insisted that it was okay for their father to remain in prison for all the things that he had done to the family when he abandoned them. He insisted that it was "justice" and urged Katie and Brooke to go along with what was happening and not say anything. While Katie said that perhaps waiting was the best thing, Brooke was insistent that they had to do the right thing. Storm had to go to Dad and admit what had happened that night.
Donna opened the door to find Stephanie standing there. Donna quickly told her that Eric wasn't there, but she could come in, if she so chose to do so. Donna did her best to make things pleasant with Stephanie but Stephanie remained hard-boiled" as ever. Having taken enough, Donna then told Stephanie that she was being cruel to Eric by making him feel guilty over the cancelled Christmas. Stephanie just simply told her that she was not in the mood for Christmas this year. Donna then warned Stephanie that if she was doing this, or anything else to try and win back Eric, she would have a very hard time of it. Stephanie just smiled at her and then left. Upon Eric's return, Donna told him about Stephanie's visit. She told Eric that she was unsure about them because most of his life had been spent with Stephanie.
A visit to the jail brought closeness between the Logan family as Katie found herself apologizing to her dad for not believing that he could be guilty of trying to shoot Stephanie. Stephen told his apologetic daughter, that all was forgiven because Storm would find out who did it. He said of Storm, that Storm was the man, he should have been. Storm, unable to speak because of what he had done, was suddenly given an embrace by his father, and didn't know how to react to it. Brooke then interrupted the moment by announcing that they had news regarding the shooting. As Brooke continued to push Storm into an admission, Storm pulled out his class ring from under his shirt. Stephen held it in his hands going over every detail, thinking that it was his ring that Storm had been wearing. He suddenly realized that the date on the ring showed a different year that the year of graduation for him. Storm then sheepishly announced that it was his ring and that he had set his father up for Stephanie's shooting.
