Brooke still talking with her brother, Storm, told him that no matter what, she did not believe that he could have anything to do with the shooting of Stephanie. Brooke told him that he would never let his father sit in prison for a crime he didn't do. Storm taking leave for the evening left Brooke to still wonder if her brother could be guilty of anything. Holding the photo that she got at the police station, which was of a person's hand with a school ring on, the doubting Brooke was questioning her own feelings.
Ridge shared some tender conversation with Stephanie telling her that he believed she did not want to intentionally hurt Brooke. She started to talk about Christmas' past and remembered the happy times with Eric that she shared. To her, this Christmas would be entirely different, but she was trying to hang on. In the corner of the room was a Christmas waiting to be decorated as usual.
Returning to Donna, Eric told her that this feelings for her were real and that he was not playing games with her. She then gave him something to lighten up the moment. It was a "tiny" tree to put on the table, but Eric seemed sad when he saw it. He then told her that he would soon be starting brand new traditions for the two of them. Brooke, still coming to terms with the nights conversation with Storm, had her heading for the police department where she met with Charlie. She asked if she could view the video tape and would not leave until she was allowed to do so. Asking for the photo, which she was given, Brooke left the station for home. Sitting in an area outside of where they were talking, sat a man reading a paper. Behind the paper was Storm.
