As Bridget laid it all out in no uncertain terms to Nick, she misread what he was telling her. She was under the impression that he was still in love with her mother and seeing her. He managed to set her straight by telling her that he and Brooke were over for good. Katie was listening at the responses coming from Nick, but was still surprised when Bridget wanted to know if she knew something more. Later, Katie turned up to talk to Nick in regards to their shared kiss. She told him that she felt the need to tell Bridget the truth. However, Bridget had just arrived and could tell that they were discussing something very serious.

Brooke told Storm that she needed his help legally, in order to get baby Jack. She learned also that Ridge had fired Storm because he considered him to be a danger to his family. Brooke was all set to get legal ramifications running, but Storm suggested another meeting with Nick. He also told Brooke that Nick had the right to be told how she wanted to be a part of baby Jack's life.

Taylor notified Rick that his mother came back over to tell her that she was going to do something legally to get baby Jack. Rick couldn't believe his ears as Taylor told him about the conversation between the two women. Taylor thought that Brooke was seeking to cause problems simply because she believed Taylor manipulated Rick into falling in love with her. Rick was dumbfounded and vowed to Taylor that he would stand by her even if it upset his mother.
