'Bold and the Beautiful' Recap: April 09, 2008

Katie suddenly pulled away from Nick when she realized that she had planted a kiss on his lips, and not just a little one. Shocked at herself, she told him that it would never happen again. Running to the door, Katie managed to break a vase and met Bridget who was just coming in. Bridget who wondered why Katie was so apparently at loose ends went upstairs to ready herself for some time with Nick privately. When she did Katie, who was listening at the door, begged for some assurance from Nick that he would not say anything to Bridget about what happened between them. Nick admitted to Katie that somehow things were getting out of hand and he really had decided that to be with Bridget in the way they were, was wrong, because he didn't have the same feelings for her as before. Katie left but remained by the door again to overhear the conversation that Nick and Bridget were having when she came back downstairs. Nick told Bridget as well as he could that their new relationship just wasn't working for him. Bridget started to fall apart telling him that if it wasn't for Katie, she wouldn't even have tried to get back with him.

Standing in Taylor's living room, another argument was brewing when Brooke started to tell Rick how wrong it was of him to want to be with Taylor. Rick managed in a few words of his own by telling her that a person cannot help how they feel about another person. Ridge talked about how it would affect Phoebe if she ever learned about them, since she was still in love with Rick herself. Rick mentioned that his mother needed to give Taylor a break because Taylor had all ready lost two men to her, making her vulnerable to anything that Brooke did or said. After Ridge and Brooke left, both Rick and Taylor admitted that they loved each other and were not out to get even with anyone.

Returning to the office, Brooke was still irritable over the conversation with her son. Ridge told her to just let it calm down and it would be over soon enough. Leaving for a meeting, Brooke took advantage of the situation by placing a call to her brother Storm, asking for his help with baby Jack. Since he wasn't available, she had to leave a message on his voice-mail. Then she did the unthinkable and again headed back over to Taylor's. Barging in she told Taylor that her relationship with Rick was all wrong and she would do anything she could to keep baby Jack away from her, until Taylor gave up Brooke's son. Then Brooke spoke out and told Taylor that she would see her in court, and stormed out of Taylor's house. Taylor, once again unable to control herself, sat down on the sofa and cried over the situation.
