'Bold and the Beautiful' Recap: April 01, 2008

Rick, hoping for a night with Taylor, found her still refusing to have anything to do with him. As a mother, she insisted that she could not have anything to do with the man her daughter was in love with. Rick kept telling her how much he loved her and that he knew she felt the same way, until Phoebe's voice was heard downstairs calling out to her mother. Rick went hurriedly into the closet as Phoebe entered her mother's bedroom. While there, Phoebe was all "mushy" as she told about her wonderful dinner with Rick. In the meantime, Rick stayed in the closet listening to what Phoebe was saying. She then told her mother good-night and headed off to bed by herself. Rick then stepped out of the closet and Taylor, being very stern, told him that it was over between the two of them, because she couldn't stand to see Phoebe being hurt. Instead of listening, Rick closed in on Taylor and kissed her. She responded to him and the two soon were amongst the sheets.

While Brooke and Ridge argued over their situation, Brooke was concerned that Ridge was becoming too involved with Ashley. She then told Ridge, that she truly believed they were destined to be with each other. He admitted that he still loved her and later Brooke had her own confrontation with Ashley. When she returned to work, she and Ridge got closer when they started to remember some of the things they had done together in the past. As they were about to make love, Brooke remembered a meeting that she had to attend and the heat of the moment soon passed. Brooke talked with Storm, telling him that she had to do something to keep Ashley and Ridge apart. She suggested that he might be able to help her with the situation.

Phoebe found out after arriving that her photo shoot had been canceled and headed over to see her dad and uncle. While there, she sent a text message to Rick.

While down in Ashley's lab, Brooke came to chew her out for trying to give Ridge advice about her relationship with him. In another section of the building, Thorne and Ridge were talking very complimentary about Ashley and how wonderful she is.
