Bold and the Beautiful Recap: February 04, 2008

Jackie surprised Stephanie by going to her house for a very specific reason. She told Stephanie that baby Jack was really Brooke's biological baby. Stephanie laughed at her for trying to start trouble, but when Bridget arrived, she confirmed what Jackie had told Stephanie.

After leaving, Jackie approached Stephanie for her help in getting Brooke back together with Nick. After all that is what both of the women wanted. Stephanie certainly, if she had to admit the truth, didn't want her son with Brooke, and Jackie believed that Brooke was her son Nicky's true love. Jackie tried to persuade Stephanie that it would be best for everyone.

Taylor kept after Brooke to give in and marry Ridge that night, but Brooke hesitated and Taylor told her that it could only be because Brooke still had feelings for Nick. Brooke asked to talk with Nick privately, which upset Taylor but she finally gave in. Brooke told Nick that he should tell his wife to back off. Nick made it appear that Taylor was only trying to do something nice for her, but Brooke knew better and so really, did Nick. Brooke told Nick that what Taylor tried to do should be proof that something is wrong with her. In the other room, Ridge tried to get a handle on the situation by telling Taylor that she was trying to do a nice thing and he appreciated it. When Nick and Brooke returned to the room, Brooke remarked that she had not changed her mind and would not be marrying Ridge that evening. Taylor lost all control of herself then, and proposed a toast to Brooke, after filling her glass with wine, while Nick begged her not to take a drink. She suddenly smashed the glass into the wall and announced that the party was indeed over. After Ridge and Brooke had said their goodbyes and left, Nick soothed Taylor's feelings while tending to her arm. He told her that he wished she could see Brooke's concern and vowed that he only wanted a life with Taylor and their child. Taylor broke down in her husbands arms as he consoled her.

Ridge and Brooke ended up having a little conversation at home themselves. Brooke was angry at having been put in the position that Taylor set up while Ridge wanted to know why Brooke wouldn't just marry him. Taylor told him that it wasn't what she wanted, but what Taylor wanted, and the time and place was all wrong. When Ridge left the room, Brooke received a call from Nick thanking her for handling the situation so well. The two of them wished the other well and said goodnight. Suddenly the final scene showed them both looking up at the sky and observing the moon in their own homes.
