Bold and the Beautiful Recap: January 16, 2008

Brooke was still very concerned about Taylor's problems. She told Ridge that she felt they should do something to help her but he insisted that Taylor should be left alone to deal with her own problems.

Nick was being told that Brooke should again be brought into focus as Jackie always felt that Brooke and Nick were meant to be soul-mates. Jackie was insisting that her son make himself available to Brooke before she ran off and married Ridge again. Not being able to take anymore, Nick left the room and went upstairs to see Taylor. She apologized to him for losing control again and told him that she would get herself better pretty soon.

Jackie, took it upon herself to go over to Brooke's place to discuss Taylor and the baby with her. Jackie told Brooke that she was concerned that Taylor just had to many mental and emotional problems going on right now, to be able to handle everything. Brooke told her that Nick was aware of the situation and would be there to handle things. Jackie then brought up what she believed should be, Brooke and Nick needed to reconcile and raise their child together. Brooke told her that Ridge is her future and that was what she was focused on. Jackie told Brooke that if she was her daughter-in-law, she would never have to endure the things that she did as a Forrester.

In the meantime, Ridge was talking with his ex-fiancé, Ashley. about Taylor and Brooke. He was concerned also that Taylor was having a hard time dealing with the baby and Ashley could understand why Brooke was so concerned. She also found it ironic that Ridge had broken up with her so that he could be with Brooke and yet, things were not going well for them either.

After making love with his wife, Nick called Brooke to tell her that things were better with Taylor and she needn't worry. On the other hand, Brooke had her own agenda with the baby. She told Nick that it was "their" child and therefore worried about him.

At home, Taylor once again looked at the bottle of vodka sitting on the table. Taking it, she poured some into her coffee cup and stirred it up. Lifting her cup, she could almost taste that which was forbidden to her for so long.
