- After a confrontation with Rick, Phoebe and Rick's car careened off the road and Phoebe was killed.
- Livid, Stephanie grilled Rick as to why he was still alive while her granddaughter was dead.
- True to her meddling ways, Stephanie began to question Rick's role in the accident and encouraged a police investigation. She learned that Rick was going over the speed limit and that Phoebe was not wearing a seat belt.
- Steffy and Ridge went to see Phoebe at the morgue, leading Steffy to fall to pieces. She asked her sister for a sign that they'd always be together, but when she didn't receive one, the reality of the loss of her twin set in. Steffy began hatching a plan to bring her closer to her twin, even in death.
- While dealing with his extreme guilt, Rick admitted to Brooke how angry Phoebe was at him when they got in the car. Brooke urged Rick not to blame himself for the accident, but he can't help but do so.
