As the World Turns Weekly Recap: Week ending September 21, 2007

Craig counter sues Rosanna in an attempt to get his assets unfrozen. While filling her in on the suit Craig says the words “I am worried about you” which trigger more memories for Rosanna regarding the night of her accident. With Paul’s help Rosanna’s memory of that night is fully restored. Clearly concerned about Rosanna’s recent memory gain, Craig pays Margo a visit to ask her to be fair if the case is reopened, all the while claiming his innocence. Margo advises her brother to talk to a defense attorney, a.k.a. Tom. However Paul and Rosanna meet with Tom first to discuss bringing charges against Craig. Unfortunately because of double jeopardy Craig can’t be tried for Rosanna’s accident again. Alone at Fairwinds, Rosanna summons Craig to meet her. As Rosanna vows to Craig that he will go to jail, if not for the accident, for switching the babies. Craig claims that Rosanna has nothing but memories induced by Paul. He enlightens his ex on some of the people Paul hurt, like Emily, while Rosanna was in a coma. Rosanna insists she will find Nurse Thompson whose testimony will put Craig away. Craig leaves when it becomes clear Rosanna has no intentions of making peace. Paul asks Will if he and Gwen will testify at Craig’s trial about much they suffered due to Craig’s actions.

When Will tells his brother that he won’t put Gwen through the heartache of reliving everything, Paul gets angry with Will for not helping him. Rosanna begins to grown concerned about Paul’s all consuming vengeance against Craig. Paul lays on the charms and puts her mind at ease. Paul and Rosanna get engaged. Alison and Gwen begin the fertility treatments. Alison has some serious side effects but hides them from Gwen, so Gwen won’t worry. When Alison has to cancel movies plans with Aaron due to the side effects, he offers to take care of her. Gwen learns from Iris that she gave Cole money so Sofie could get an abortion. Needless to say Gwen is livid with her mother and brother. Cole tells Sofie either have the abortion or lose him, then gives her the cash from Iris. Sofie breaks down and agrees to have the abortion as opposed to being alone without Cole. Sofie wants Cole to come with her, but Cole being the jerk he is, comes up with a lame excuse to get out of going. Sofie lets her boyfriend off the hook and makes the appointment to go alone. At the clinic Sofie learns she is in her second trimester, which causes her to back out of the abortion. Sofie runs to Aaron with the news. Aaron is furious to learn Cole didn’t go with her. When Alison gets jealous of Sofie, Aaron assure he and Sofie are friends, and then kisses Alison. Cole anonymously leaves his demo at Will and Gwen’s door. The Munson’s listen to the demo and Al’s, the demo turns out to be really bad. Cole overhears his sister and her hubby making fun of his demo. Gwen yells at Cole for the Sofie situation, the two siblings have words and Cole calls Gwen unfeeling. Later Cole finds Sofie in Old Town and assuming she has had the abortion offers to take care of her.

Dusty overhears Colonel Mayer warn Lily to keep Luke away from Noah. Lily offers to help Colonel Mayer accept who Noah is, but the Colonel insists his son is not gay. Lily, while looking for Luke at WOAK, finds Noah. She gets very motherly and offers to help Noah with his father. Noah, still not admitting he is gay, turns her down as he defends that his father comes off harsh but is generally misunderstood. Luke makes amends with Maddie, who at first is angry Luke lied to her, but eventually realizes what a goof friend Luke is. Noah pleads with Maddie for a second chance. Maddie turns him because well he likes guys. Noah promises to change; Maddie asks him who he is changing for himself, her or his father. Noah places blame on Luke. Maddie defends her friend and informs Noah Luke is a great guy and Noah would be lucky to have a guy like Luke in his life. Their talk trigger something in Noah, because later thanks Luke for the helping him. Then admits that he is gay, and has to tell his father the truth. Meanwhile Dusty confronts the Colonel about Charlene Wilson. The Colonel doesn’t take it well; he later drugs Dusty and places him in the trunk of a car. As the Colonel is getting ready to leave he hears Dusty’s cell phone, eh grabs the phone and Dusty wakes up. The Colonel pulls a gun on Dusty, who is still in the trunk of the car. A sweaty, nervous, semi crazy Colonel recounts how he set up Dusty for Cheri’s murder, all thanks to Dusty. He flashes back to him confront Cheri about trying to contact Noah, who Cheri didn’t even know was in Oakdale. He shoots her in order to keep her from ever seeing his son. Dusty ties to fight, but the Colonel shoots him and leaves a bleeding Dusty locked in the trunk. The colonel then heads to search Dust’s room for clues about what Dusty really knew. Lily shows up looking for Dusty unaware that the colonel is hiding, with a gun. Lucky for Lily she didn’t stay long, so the colonel didn’t do anything.
